'Morally Despicable': Trump Administration Threatens to Veto UN Resolution Combating Rape as Weapon

Yes, it is, no matter how much you say it isn't.

Sure  that's why all those women having abortions are being arrested for murder :doh

The ignorance and stupidity of your posts certainly is.

No, it affects your posts. Some children may have developmental problems but that does not even come close to the level of your posts and you have no ****ing clue what I think.

Only those who can not make intelligent or rational arguments.

Or those who make post like the one above your quote?

What's more despicable, vetoing a proposed resolution because of nomenclature that has nothing to do with the purpose of the resolution, or refusing to amend a resolution to get rid of said nomenclature so that it can be passed and therefore serve its actual purpose, which has nothing to do with abortion?

without access to safe, early abortion, women will again turn to back-alley abortions—and thousands of women will die.

This is a terrible argument against outlawing abortion. There are plenty of far better arguments for keeping abortion legal.

You could use the same argument to make bank robbery and home invasion legal -- making them illegal increases the chance that the perpetrator will be injured or killed in the process, and we can't have that

I'm skeptical about this. Taking something that doesn't belong to you is apt to lead to injury or killing whether it is legal or not.

But less so if it's legal. At least the police won't be shooting you. No high speed chases either. And no chance of being raped, beat up, or killed in prison. In fact, think of all the good that could be done with all the money we'd save from investigating robberies, and prosecuting and imprisoning robbers!

But none of that is really the point, is it? The point is, if we decide as a society to pass laws outlawing something, we should hardly be concerned about the fate of the outlaws who choose to violate those laws.

As for abortion, there are plenty of good reasons not to outlaw it, and not really any good reasons TO outlaw it. We don't need this fallacious argument to make the case.

It's an offshoot of the religious right's "pro-life" agenda, which is really nothing of the sort. They seem to think women and children were better off in the 1600's.
