History: Aborted fetus recognized to have legal rights

Before birth....the woman takes 100 percent of the risk - whether it is gestation and birth or abortion.

I know it sucks, so better be careful before hand. Never leave birth control only up to her. The individual (s) who are not wanting to be a parent should use contraception each and every time.

If I was a guy, I would bring my own condoms to the "party" and dispose of used ones myself.

You want equal when inherently it is not. So "equality" is before conception and after birth. There is no equal footing during any stage of pregnancy.

There can be legal equality... only people who do not understand logic argue against that.

Yes, before conception and after birth.

There can be no equal during pregnancy.

Legally there can be equality at any time...

Nope. There is no equality during pregnancy. One party during pregnancy suffers zero risk...the pregnant person endures 100 percent of the risk.

If you do not want to be responsible for raising a child...bring your own high quality condoms....use them each and every time.....even if the woman says she had her tubes tied....even if she is on her period. Dispose of the condom yourself. Outside of abstinence and vasectomy that is your best insurance.

I said "legally" and you are talking about "biology"...

Because of biology there can be no actual equality concerning pregnancy.

Ok, here is equal. Any one that gets pregnant (man or woman or ....)retains the right to his our her medical decisions and if a child is born both biological parents are financially responsible for the child. See, equal.

I am not talking about abortion... I am talking about the legal right to not be a parent if they so choose... that is legally a logical option for both... currently though, it is not because too many people are hung up on her biological right and conflating the issues. You get it... I know that you do.

After the baby is born, it is about the baby.

I probably won't respond much more on this....we have said all the same things hundreds of times over the years. We are both dug in.:lamo

You're correct, it's not the current legal option.

Please tell us why that is...as you've had it expained many many many times before.

Why do we have child support...which is applied (by law) equally to both men and women? And what has changed so that you believe the courts would change the laws that protect children and the taxpayers? Please tell us.

so then why post stupid stuff that will never happen?

I made a point that was correct. Why not just acknowledge it and move on?

Because it's a discussion forum and you ignored the rest of the discussion.

You cant help being derogatory even when I concur with you...no wonder you cant remain civil when actually debating.

And sure, if needed I can roll out the posts where you deflected many times with rudeness.

I made one point. That point, as you said, is correct. I don't care about the rest of the discussion in this thread at this point.

Just acknowledge my one point as correct and move on to a new distinct topic and we can address that.
