[W:94]21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Are there more minorities that identify as conservatives or more who identify as liberals in the U.S. ?

Interesting thing: While most minorites are so ideological diverse, most vote democrat by blocs. So It depends on what you mean by liberal, and which minority you're referring to. However, most people who get abortions are black or hispanic, and black people vote democrat by 9 to 1.

The latest abortion surveillance report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which was published Friday but covers the year 2012, says that in the 26 states that reported abortions by the race and ethnicity of the women having the abortions, 55.4 percent were performed on black or Hispanic mothers

What is the racial ethnicity breakdown of those who receive abortions of the remaining 44.6 % ?

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Ironically, during the height of her influence on culture at the time Margaret Sanger was against abortion and stood for contraception as a means to prevent the need for them. At one point going so far as to say she did not see access to abortion as a right, but saw access to contraception as a right that would reduce the argument for abortion.

All of the quotes related to Eugenics are taken out of context, between WWI and WWII many nations saw the idea come up in various social and economic discussions. Because of the various social evolutions, civil rights and women's rights, and various economic collapses added to the consequences of WWI many nations entered the discussion on multiple avenues of population controls. We do not have to agree with many of those discussions as most of that died with the generation dealing with those discussions. But even with all of those discussions at no time did Sanger want contraceptive decision turned over to government, in terms of telling people when they can or cannot have children.

The context of the period does not translate well to the context of today, and that adds to the reasons that taking a handful of quotes out of context creates today's manufactured outrage for those who actively look for means to fan the flames.

That's a good question. The study doesn't really break down those numbers. I imagine most are white, but then again, this study shows that "other" consistently outpaces white people in abortion rates.

The depraved founder of the Abortion Mill's sick worldview...in a nutshell... GOALS of Planned Parenthood:

Does this then invalidate the work done by Planned Parenthood in your view?

21 Quotes by Margaret Sanger that Will Probably Make You Sick

1. "But for my view, I believe that there should be no more babies."
-- Interview with John Parsons, 1947

2. "The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

A Planned Parenthood counselor helped my wife and myself talk a family member out of aborting. We adopted that child and are raising it as our own.

SOME people have no idea what PP actually does . . .

its easily arguable that they prevent more unwanted births than any other org in the nation

theres approx 33 in my state and only about 11 do abortions . . .

the witch hunt for them but nutters has always been very entertaining

sadly some of those nutters have even attacked, bombed or try to burn down one of these facilities and the last couple times they were facilities that didn't even do abortion . . these nutters are the purest definition of dumb

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

God does not approve of abortion. Accept it.

Good for him. Hopefully he does not have one then. Other than that, his opinion is entirely irrelevant.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Again, it's not republicans trying to kill the democrat voter base. There is a reason why chinese call the democrats "white liberals".
Do you imagine your tongue in cheek arguments do anything but convince those who read them that your only interest in discussing racism is to mock it? Or are you just a 14 year old boy?

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

A dishonest email fwd fwd fwd fwd’d to every Trump supporter isn’t going to prevent abortion from being a Consitutional right.

But I like threads that reference god as someone who really exists.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

As time goes on the wicked will be completely forgotten. After God casts the wicked into the lake of fire He will also forget them.

Oh that must be why. I thought it was just because she's an obscure political bugbear trotted out by the political right whenever they're having a bad week in other news.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Abortion is legal. Deal with it.

So you approve of Sanger's GOALS?

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

That would be a first.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Sanger does not represent PP and hasn't for a long time, because ya know...she's dead. For quite a long time now. Whatever her views, they're dead and gone. It's 2019, not the early/mid 1900's. Time to get with the times.

Planned Parenthood was FOUNDED by SANGER, and aborts MORE BLACK BABIES than any other.

I'd sya Planned Parenhood is REPRESENTING HER, QUITE WELL.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

As I expected, cribbed quotes deliberately designed to give the wrong impression. More simply, lies.

You're the oen lying.

Please explain how this is "cribbed":

. "We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population..."

-- Letter to Dr. Clarence J. Gamble, December 10, 1939, p. 2

And then explain how BLACK BABIES are ABORTED MORE THAN ANY OTHER by Planned Parenthod....

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

There's nothing in the bible against abortion.

There is about murdering the innocent, and HARMING CHILDREN...who now can be butchered up to the point of birth, in Leftworld.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

Why? Worried that there are still some folks out there who don't know the Republican party is racist? You can rest easy friend, the words out already.

She promoted abortion. Of MOSTLY MINORITIES. Period.

Please provide objective certification of that interesting take.

Re: 21 Quotes from the Founder of Planned Parenthood, that will Make You Sick

A RARE outcome at PP.

I commend the counselor, and you .

Has NOTHING TO DO WITH SANGER'S INTENT, or the fact that PP overwhelmingly ABORTS BLACK/BROWN CHILDREN over ANY OTHERS.

Crisis Pregnancy Centers counsel adoption...PLANNED PARENTHOOD DOES NOT, as a rule = why Crisis Pregnancy Centers came to exist.

#3's hardly a charm

3. "We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population..."

-- Letter to Dr. Clarence J. Gamble, December 10, 1939, p. 2

#3 is deliberately quoted out of context. The point was to appoint a Black (Negro in the parlance of the time) board of directors to a PP site serving a predominantly Black community. You can look up the original @ the university where her papers were deposited - Smith College, as I recall.

The other point that these screeds never mention: Sanger was absolutely opposed to abortion - possibly because abortion @ the time was quite dangerous. In any event, she preferred that the woman give birth, & if she or her family couldn't afford another mouth to feed, that they put the baby up for adoption.

I know for a fact PP counselors do their best to dissuade many women from receiving abortions. Blaming PP today for Sanger's actions is disingenuous and counter productive.

The locations were deliberate

What's interesting is that the people getting abortions skew heavily minorities. Democrats are literally preventing their voting base from reproducing. This, I think, could lead to their own downfall. I think it would be smart, if not cynical, of republicans to endorse free abortions for minority populations and increase access in ONLY minority neighborhoods.

Sanger always figured that she didn't need to worry about birth control for people who were wealthy &/or had connections. Her birth control efforts & centers were located where working class people could easily get to them, & that's still the pattern. Those neighborhoods have changed from various nationality or ethnic groups, but new groups have replaced them. & the newcomers also have need of birth control information.

Oh..by ALL MEANS, provide the "context" from her letter to Dr.Gamble, that "fixes" this:

She absolutely WAS NOT "OPPOSED TO ABORTION."

Nonsense. Eugenics was her ENTIRE GOAL...just like Josef Mangele.

Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist. Why are we still celebrating her?

Sanger’s eugenics creed is clearly stated in her speech “My Way to Peace” (1932). The centerpiece of the program is vigorous state use of compulsory sterilization and segregation. The first class of persons targeted for sterilization is made up of people with mental or physical disability. “The first step would be to control the intake and output on morons, mental defectives, epileptics.” A much larger class of undesirables would be forced to choose either sterilization or placement in state work camps. “The second step would be to take an inventory of the second group, such as illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, dope-fiends; classify them in special departments under government medical protection and segregate them on farms and open spaces.” Those segregated in these camps could return to mainstream society if they underwent sterilization and demonstrated good behavior. Sanger estimates that 15 million to 20 million Americans would be targeted in this regime of forced sterilization and concentration camps

Guess who she considered part of the SECOND GROUP?

~ "....Sanger was a proponent of negative eugenics, which aimed to improve human hereditary traits through social intervention by reducing the reproduction of those who were considered unfit."
