I dont see any major outlets trying to claim the majority of abortions are for rape or incest. But the realities of mother or fetal health complications are very real. Every single pregnancy is a risk to a woman's health. Every single one...and those risks cannot be predicted.

The numbers are significant. 86,700 women die or nearly die due to pregnancy/childbirth every year in the US.

And thus...no woman should have to submit to govt force and not have a choice in ending a pregnancy IMO.

What makes you think the vast majority of abortion patients acted irresponsibly?
If you are talking about US women are wrong when you think the majority of women did not use protection.

Over 65 percent of US women use artifical birth control consistently.
All but 10 percent of the rest of US either are already pregnant ( I think 9 percent) cannot get pregnant because of a medical condition or procedure or are not sexually active.

Artifical birth control has a failure rate. In fact the typical failure rate for hormone birth control pills or male condoms is 5 percent.

That means that out of 100 fertile sexually active male/female couples 5 of those women will become pregnant in a years time even though they used protection.

Women who do not want to be pregnant do not set out to get pregnant. If we could will ourselves to get or not get pregnant, there'd be no abortion or fertility clinics.

I have yet to see anyone, right or left, claim that either of these accounts for the majority of abortions.
