Abortion and Women's Rights

Did I misunderstand post #132? Did you not say the man should be consulted?

Yes. You misunderstood that because I never said anything that remotely resembles that...

I don't take orders from you, bitch.

Reported to the Moderation Team... This post is classless dog**** and violates the forum rules...

Do you believe that listening to someone that supports abortion spouting things in favor of it is unbaised?

It's never acceptable to kill something because you don't like it
. That's well over 90% of abortions.

I never said I was unbaised. I am honest, I wrote that while I value the unborn, I value all born people more.

And as to the bold, it has nothing to do with 'like' but with survival. With preserving one's own future.

Who says that's wrong, besides you?

Good for you. All that proves is you're a gutless little coward that gets triggered when someone says something in a manner that hurts your feelings.

Interesting how the site starred part of your post but not mine. Apparently that means what you said was against the rules you are so readily to support. Don't worry, though, coward, I won't report you. I believe you can say whatever you want.

When you admit bias, you discredit any claim you make. In fact, it invalidates it. It means you're not thinking with your brain but with emotion.

Bodhi isn't the only one who reported it. This one has been reported as well.

BTW, the stars are censoring out swear words. It's not actionable to swear on this site, but certain words are starred out.

It is like you didn't understand a single word that I said...

I did not say that he had to pay for her abortion...
I did not say that he should have equal rights to the fetus...
I did not say that she shoud have to tell him anything...
I did not say that his health was at stake...
I did not say that she was obligated to do anything...

I said that he has to pay for her choice (to have a baby if she chooses)... The law forces him and the law denies him equal rights (about the decision to be a parent or not and about being responsible for the fetus or kid or not)

Was he forced to sleep with her? Or was it his choice?

Is there a reason he shouldnt live with his choice? She has to live with hers....and there is no escape from consequences for the woman.

There are only 4 scenarios:

--she has a kid
--miscarriage
--abortion
--dying during pregnancy/childbirth

And she can die or suffer permanent health damage from the first 3 too.

However men escape consequences in all but one of those. If they are pissed they get stuck with that one...then since they know it before they have sex...either dont have sex or accept that your consequence is that you dont have control over the woman's choices.

Women have never been able to have sex without consequences...seems that things are more equal now.

Unless you are implying that men are entitled to sex without consequences?

I see the argument as a religious issue created by humans, like the bible. Some group pulls some kind of 'measurement' out of their butts to suit their needs and beliefs and then try to impose that measurement on others.

Hasn't this already been settled? Gun owners, chime in here you guys are big on supporting the law for law abiding citizens.

100% supporter of the 2A

And 100% pro-choice

It was meant to point out wearing a condom would alleviate any responsibility for the man. No payments etc, etc.

And yes, I know it was only one word, I didn't want to confuse people with two, some might not have understood.

Are you under the impression that condoms or any non-surgical birth control is 100% effective? If you went to school in the US, your education has failed you.

I can present a math problem related to the failure rate next, if needed.

No, you discredited a source because you didn't like what it said. It isn't biased because you don't agree with facts.

oh yeah? How much do you accept from CNN? The NYT? The Washington Post?

Still wrong! :lamo

For a previous career, I had to attend trainings on bais and controversial issues. *Everyone* has bias. And most people are still capable of evaluating new information in a rational manner.

:lamo Here's some logic for you, I see you need the clarity while you're still here: you could not choose a side on any issue if you did not weight the importance of one side more than the other. That is your personally determined bias.

:2wave:

Feel free to say whatever dumb things you like about me... I welcome it. Post more retarded dumb ****... please...

I reported it, something I RARELY do, because it was about Minnie.

People can say whatever they want to or about me...

#132:

"Only the Law forces a man to pay for the woman's choice... only the Law denies the man his equal rights...

Nothing about this would deny her rights to her own body... when she gets pregnant she should check with the man to see if he wants that child and then she should decide that if she can not raise it on her own she should abort or not..."

So, did you not say that "she should check with the man"? That's what I'm disagreeing with. Her pregnancy is none of his business unless she decides it is.

Are you not yourself extremely biased on this issue?

About whether he wants the kid or not... not about her pregnancy...

About whether he should have to pay child support for her choice to have a kid against his wishes... one that she can not afford to raise on her own... THAT is where the law forces the man... THAT is where the man has to pay for her choice to not abort...

I disagree. If you have sex, birth control methods are not an exact science outside of vasectomies and tubal ligations, so pregnancy is always a possible consequence. If that consequence is not something a man wants to face, he can either get snipped or keep it zipped. She is still under no obligation to discuss her pregnancy with him.

I remember when Lincoln was told that, "Life ain't fair amigo... Slavery is legal... DEAL WITH IT!"
Lincoln didn't end slavery. In fact, slavery was Federally legal in the Union during the Civil War and border states were specifically exempted from the Emancipation Proclamation and allowed to keep slavery.

So even if slavery had anything at all to do with the legal process behind abortion, which it does not, your example only disproves your argument.

Abortion is legal. Deal with it.

If a man has to be FORCED to support his child, he is not a man.

My argument is about the disparity in post conception rights between a man and a woman and the only reason that this is so is because of the government forcing men to pay for a woman's choice... this is unfair... this is immoral... this is unconstitutional...
