Mighty CONVENIENT that you will never be pregnant, eh?

It is almost impossible for childfree women to get sterilized. Others may want children in the future so a tubal ligation is not for them.

The majority of abortions are for convenience. Millions of them.

I won't lose any sleep if all of those are declared illegal.

I agree. We might debate the definition of "convenience", but I think it should only be a last resort. If I had accidentally gotten someone pregnant, I would have advocated for her to have the child. I just don't think I have a right to tell a woman what to do in that situation. I can make my opinion known and offer any support necessary, but that's it.

I'm sorry that you replied to me because I abandoned this thread days ago. Yes, I think the Catholic Church deserves all the criticism it's receiving. And I've finally been reading up and have discovered online publications that answer your second question, among them OnePeterFive.com and Crux. Further, one of my local news sources reported last week that at least in my state, a list of the names of credibly accused priests is about to published.

But again, this thread is about the analogy of abortion to the actions of a hitman. Yes, the Pope said it. But anybody else could just as easily have said it, and the point is about abortion, not the Catholic Church.

Never mind, however. As I've said, others posting in this thread are simply unable to control themselves and address the topic. Have at it. Devour each other at your pleasure. :2wave:

Well then you can rest easy at night...no woman has an abortion for 'convenience.' I've asked before, you have never posted a link to the data showing the reasons where one or more is 'convenience.'

So what's the problem then?

Btw, what are we going to do with all those millions of unwanted, unaffordable babies? Please be specific. Because there are already more than 100,000 children in the US waiting to be adopted. How can you demand that MORE of these kids be produced, eliminating further chances for THESE kids to find homes?

Can you please justify this? More homeless kids in the foster care system, untethered, at higher risk of criminal activity, drug use, poverty.
