Would you drive a woman to get a abortion? With my three daughters, I am willing to drive them to get a abortion.

Sure, they are sure they want it the of course I would.

Yes. Even if I was not the father.

I don't generally drive "random" women to any destination, so I guess my answer must be "no."

Would it not be better to pay for driving lessons for your daughters so they get there own drivers licence and save you the bother of having to drive them yourself?

I'd be uncomfortable with doing so after the 24th week, though my scarce research on cognitive development may be off.

I consider myself to be slightly left-leaning on the issue of abortion, mostly in that I wouldn't seek to overturn Roe vs Wade, but my personal opinion weighs the right of a living newborn to live with the right of a woman to make choices with her body, rather than emphasizing one or the other.

Once it comes to the point that the fetus is potentially capable of any thought or emotion, that's a person, and rights vs rights becomes much dicier than when the fetus was just a chunk of unthinking biological material. I don't have an answer for what is right in that scenario, which is why I would be uncomfortable with involving myself after a certain point.

She would get empathy and comfort from me going and coming home.

Why would I not?

Yes. And not only that, unless she were my sexual partner, I would not raise one question as to why she were seeking it. Her body, her decision.

It's not the driving to. It's the driving from that is most necessary after a medical preceedure.

The OP is oddly worded. I would not drive a woman I don't know anywhere. That'd just be asking for trouble. Any woman I know could drive herself.

It is not the first choice that I would make, or want to make, however I support a woman's right to choose.
If they are my family, I would make an honest effort to explore alternatives first.
But in the end it is their decision and I support their safety and security, and yes...I would hold their hand, too.

I'm sure all the women you know are immune to the effects of anesthesia so they could also drive themselves home afterwards.

You bring up an important point.
It is my hope that someone I care about would never have to hide it till the 24th week or any late term such as that, therefore I expect in the case of people I am likely to be in contact with, such a situation would never arise, and we'd be talking about a much earlier term.

Yes, after that many weeks, we're now talking about a viable fetus.
I suspect that, in my own personal circles, it would be a situation where there is something dreadfully wrong, like news from a doctor that the fetus is in terrible condition, or that the life of the mother is in jeopardy.

For me personally, I can't imagine any other situation where 24th week considerations would arise.

Why limit your question to driving women only?!?

In this day and age, biology doesn't matter anymore ... a guy may need an abortion, too.

Never. I wouldn't want to be an accomplice to the murder of an innocent unborn baby.

I doubt I would ever be put into that situation. I would say only in the case of her life being put into danger, however if that were the case I would be calling for an ambulance so the answer is likely not.

Yes. Even if I was not the father.

To expand on my first post on this thread. I would drive a women to the clinic for an abortion as long as I know who she is, she asked me to take her, and she is of legal age to make the decision to terminate the pregnancy.

Yes.It may save her life.

Sure why not? I'm willing to drive people to medical appointments.

And I've made the offer in the past.

Nope. And an abortion would probably ruin any relationship with my daughters.
