Abortion is legally restricted and even more so socially stigmatized in Mexico.

Abortion in Mexico is a controversial issue. Its legal status varies by state. The procedure is offered on request to any woman with up to twelve weeks into a pregnancy in Mexico City, but is severely restricted in most states.[1][2] As of April 2015, 138,792 abortions have been carried out in the capital city since its decriminalization (2007).[3] The abortion laws and their enforcement vary by region, but in conservative parts of the country, women are routinely prosecuted and convicted for having abortions: More than 679 women have been convicted for abortion in conservative-leaning states, such as Guanajuato.[2][4]

Many of these single mothers will raise their kids come hell or high water. Hell or high water often means turning to prostitution. The purpose of this post is to ask: Which is a greater social ill, abortion or children being raised by prostitutes?

Easily answered. Neither.

The greater social ill is how people treat prostitutes. If it was a legitimate profession and regulated, why would there be anything wrong with a prostitute raising children? If there's a stable home, that seems fine.

But any unstable home is the first step in increasing the risk of socially negative outcomes. A woman with no job. A home of domestic abuse. A home of abject poverty.

I dont see why just being raised by prostitutes alone is 'bad'. But the way society treats prostitutes, or provides no safety net or other job opportunities? IMO much of the fault lies there as well.

people attacking other people over abortion or being a prostitute seems like the greater social ill

I was careful in my OP not the "lead the witness". I admire a woman that sacrifices so much for her child. Abortion is abhorrent. I was actually comparing women in Cuba that treat an abortion like getting a hair cut to women in Mexico that wouldn't abort if their life depended on it.

Few people consider how much talent a good prostitute has. She not only provides physical satisfaction, but affection, friendship and even pretends to be interested in what her client is talking about even if she isn't.
