Chelsea Clinton: abortions are good because they bring in money to the economy

It was RvW AND The Pill.

Consider this: Where would you be if your mother aborted you? What if she did it to pursue a goal of her own; i.e., a career, schooling, or just out of plain inconvenience - would it have justified your abortion?

https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/craig-...d-three-and-half-trillion-dollars-our-economy

And Chelsea is just a evil as her mom. The net benefit of abortion is apparently 3 1/2 trillion dollars. Unfortunately, that cost 61 million lives. Lives that could have gone on to do great things. Lives that could have added to the workforce, created businesses, created cures for disease, created solutions for society. The price of the abortion has been priceless.... way more than 3 1/2 trillion dollars.

Chelsea's argument supporting abortion is just plain wrong. I call it the plantation viewpoint. Many people justified slavery on the justification it was good for the economy.....

Shame on you Chelsea Clinton. Shame on you.

Why do you care what Chelsea Clinton thinks about anything? Why should anyone?
This is more of that American fascination with celebrity, isn't it. No reason for it but lots of people like you, enquiring minds, want to know.

Consider this: Making abortions illegal won't stop abortions so it must be acceptable that women endure (and not always survive) back-alley procedures if you want to take the safe, legal option off the table.

.

And think of all the women who have risen to new challenges, developed skills and careers and dreams...and the young girls seeing and believing they can do the same? That they have options and opportunities beyond maid/cook/nanny. What a great boon to society.

And then there's this:

Can you possibly fathom all those millions of additional unaffordable or unwanted kids in the US?

On top of all the kids already:

--in foster care?
--waiting to be adopted (over 100,000)
--being neglected and abused
--being born mentally or physically defective because an uncaring pregnant woman wouldnt stop drinking, smoking, doing drugs?
--requiring taxpayer $$ in public assistance of some kind
--requiring that many men to pay child support (or marry the woman)

Those unfortunately aborted at least dont suffer anything. Yet more could increase suffering overall.

Can you please list the negative effects of abortion on society?

You missed the point entirely, I never said abortions should be illegal. Actually, some abortions may not only be necessary, but some may be beneficial.

Ah, this old saw. The 'what if we aborted the next Albert Einstein!" Or Beethoven or Marie Curie or whoever.

Always with the positive, never mentioning the equal chances that we also dodged the bullet of another Hitler, Dahmer, Pol Pot, etc.

Reality, what a concept! Btw, all the women joining the workforce *did all those things.*

And where did that 61 million number come from?

Women having reproductive freedom was connected with their entrance en masse into the workforce.

Chelsea spoke the truth.

because without abortion women would be to stupid to know how to not get pregnant?

Everyone knows we wouldn't need abortion if women weren't stupid. Didn't you read RvW? The right to self is therein clearly identified as based on women being stupid. Section 4.251 of the SCOTUS ruling: "We gotta have abortion, women are stupid".

Well then im not sure how else to explain that women were unable to explain how women were forbidden to enter the workforce without RvW

Not with a face like that.

I do not much care for your posts as it is. But this one indicates that not one of them should be taken seriously. The notion that one's suitability for public office should be determined by one's appearance is infantile.

Oh Sweden, that post had nothing to do with Chelsea Clinton's physical appearance but her attitude. It has everything to do with that smug Clintonian look that her mom has as well. It is that east coast smugness she personifies.

FRANKLIN GRAHAM:

“@ChelseaClinton, daughter of former President @BillClinton & @HillaryClinton, claims that legalizing abortion added trillions of dollars to the economy,” Graham tweeted alongside a link to a Breitbart News article about Clinton's remarks. “What a lie. Hitler probably also claimed that killing the Jews would be good for their economy.”

ERICK ERICKSON:

“In the 1800's, slave owners said slavery was about economic rights,” Erickson said. “Always and without fail the arguments of the abortion movement in the United States mirror the arguments of slave owners. Both are grave evils.”

60 million Americans aborted since Roe v. Wade. At present rates we kill:

926,190 each year
2,537 each day
105 each hour

We should be absolutely clear about the justice and necessity of ending the slaughter.

yeah in not understanding how somebody stating that fact is a problem?

but then again since i dont support treating women as lessers and violating their legal and human rights i guess im not biased and dishonest enough to turn anything that is not prolife into some magical evil issues . . LMAO

You think abortion is good for the economy?

Reproductive freedom my eye. It all comes down to the definition of when life begins because if that fetus is a human life, then the same rules of deadly force that apply to all of the rest of us, no matter our gender, apply. Convenience is not a justifiable reason for killing.

You'd think reasonable people would be able to sit down and work to define the beginning of life to the same degree that we define the end of life. But noooo, some bimbo might be denied her right to murder some poor defenseless human that is totally dependent upon her just so she won't look fat.

OK, all is forgiven - I detest the Clinton's so it comes easy.

Isn't it odd that the USA is awash with religiosity and thus about the only civilised country where abortion rights are still an issue?

Isn't it odd that the USA is awash with religiosity and thus about the only civilised country where abortion rights are still an issue?

What is odd is the total refusal on both "sides" of the issue to simply agree to the "legal" definition of when life begins. If the fetus, at the time of abortion, is not legally human, it's not murder. If it IS legally human, then the same rules apply that would apply to any of us when it comes to taking our lives. It doesn't have to be rocket surgery.

Good point, I was just so outraged that a human being would think like this. It makes me sick to my stomach someone would justify killing babies because it helps the economy. It sounds almost like a call for forced abortions.

Y'know what makes me sick to my stomach? People that think rape victims deserve to be raped.

Shame on you Chelsea Clinton. Shame on you.

I'm pro-choice. But I do find her statement to be....off. Yes, women entering the workforce added trillions of dollars. How many trillions would have been added by those millions of dead fetus's though if they hadn't been aborted? That is not easily quantifiable. But at the time neither was the amount that women being added to the work force would make. As such to claim that abortion has been a "net benefit" is at best an unproven statement and as such should not have been made imo. Unless she's of the opinion that women can't work if they have kids also? I would hope not....

You find her Statement to be Off Because She’s a Clinton.
