"Don't knock it 'til you try it"

YOUR MISINTERPRETATIONS OF WHAT I WRITE IS NOT MY PROBLEM. Quite-smart people are very able to misinterpret things, tell Stupid Lies, and otherwise create idiotic/nonsensical posts. And don't get me started on the typos; I've had to correct far too many of my own, and still missed some.

Why do you insist brain dead people are not people?

STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO ANSWER MY QUESTION. "If you were visiting a modern well-equipped medical laboratory, and some madman with a machete cut your head off in an attempt to murder you, but rescuers arrived in time, would you want them to save your headless human body, or save your severed head, to save YOU-the-person?" Your answer to that question is relevant to the answer that you want me to provide.

Neither can survive without the other...

Now... why do you think a brain dead person is not a person?

TOTALLY FALSE. The very fact that we can keep a brain-dead human body alive on life-support means that the head is not necessary for the body to survive. And the fact that "head transplant" research has been making news lately means we know how to keep a severed head alive at least long enough to perform a transplant (and probably longer--such arts always improve with time, and in the future a classic science-fiction scenario might become common; look here to see what we can already do!). (which is why my Question specifies visiting a "modern well-equipped medical laboratory")

STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR CHOICE, with respect to the Question I asked.

Both can be kept alive but both are required to make a person. I thought my answer was clear to people that posessed basic comprehension skills.

Both can be kept alive
TRUE.

but both are required to make a person.
TOTALLY FALSE. Only one is needed. According to abortion opponents, only the body is needed for a person to exist (after all, a zygote is basically a "human body", even though it most certainly doesn't have a head). But the Law doesn't agree (and so abortion is legal). I need to know the particular aspect of a human that YOU associate with personhood. (Ever seen "The Six Million Dollar Man"? How much of your body do you think could be replaced with other hardware, before you decide you are no longer a person?)

I thought my answer was clear to people that posessed basic comprehension skills.
IT WAS CLEARLY FLAWED. As I explained in detail. And since you have still presented invalid data (as I explained above in this msg), I'm still waiting for your actual Answer to my Question.
