I'm not familiar with California and what all goes on there but as a prolifer who is in multiple groups I have no issues with a "medical center" being required to supply accurate information about medical option. Why would this bother anybody?
I have a huge problem with a place that disguises itself as a place to get medical care and is anything but.
One part of the law is to identify centers that are not licensed facilities. Why would anyone have an issue with this.
I am still trying to figure out the real ramifications of the law. People on this thread make it sound like they have to verbally discuss all options. I am not finding that requirement. I do see a requirement that indicates an 8 x11 inch sign be posted to tell a person how to get covered with Medicaid and some of the covered services. This sign only goes up in licensed facilities.
Unlicensed facilities just have to post a sign acknowledging that fact.
The sad part is that so many in the Crisis Pregnancy Center industry treat their mission as a scam. That is sad
I see nothing wrong with helping a woman see how it may be possible for her to safely deliver a healthy baby and how to keep the child safe and secure over the next 18 years.
If a potential client cannot call and get a direct answer on what their services are....they are just scammers.
AGreed you are both right.
Unless im missing something this is the way all medical facilities should be conducted IMO. While all and every option cant be provided the most common definitely should and when asked about information should be available. As far as licencing, if you are not licensed that should be very clear and any attempt to project otherwise should be a felony.
