For teen girls, abortion linked to better outcomes vs. giving birth

Children again are a byproduct of Sex....but many people seem to think its ok because abortion is a simple option.

Not necessarily. Certain sex acts do not lead to pregnacy. And I've only ever had sex with a girl, so I'm definitely got nothing to worry about in the pregnacy department.

What gave you the impression that I was advocating abstinence only?

Where did I say you did?

Responsible behaviors include consistently and correctly using contraceptives....

So, you want irresponsible people to be parents.....

(Reuters Health) - Compared to teen mothers, girls who have an abortion before age 18 have no negative effects that carry into early adulthood, a nationwide study in Finland suggests.

Girls who had underage abortions tended to have higher educational attainment and were less likely to be dependent on welfare at age 25 compared to the girls who gave birth, the study team found.

No surprises here. I'd bet the same is for many adults who abort, especially if they are poor or in college/university.

Of course. A kid sets you back a half a million or something. We all konw, what that means. It's like eating andrinking like there were no tomorrow makes you fat.

It sounds like you are a smart kind of girl.

The women I have discussed this with *have experienced negative consequences in their lives from abortion. Of course most are not from the current generation so, they haven't been programmed.

So then abortion isnt ''avoiding" the consequences of their actions afterall, is it? Which is a huge claim from the pro-life side, "women get abortions to avoid the consequences of their actions" (slut-shaming).

Well there ya go...they dont. They suffer later...happy? I mean, I'm sure plenty of pro-life people believe they deserve it.

Then personal responsibility must be at the forefront.

There's nothing responsible about having a kid you cant afford and expecting tax payers to take up that burden with public assistance.

There's nothing responsible about having a kid you arent emotionally prepared to have and may abuse or neglect.

There's nothing responsible about remaining pregnant and dropping out of high school or college or missing work and not fulfilling your potential in society.

There's nothing responsible about having a kid and giving it up for adoption when there are already over 100,000 kids in America waiting to be adopted. It means one less waiting will find a home.

Where did I say you did?

You mentioned abstinence in your reply of my post. The reply was worded in such a way as to suggest that I had mentioned abstinence, which then allowed you to counter with "comprehensive sex education in schools" to provide an alternative...in an attempt to make yourself look smart/progressive.

So, you want irresponsible people to be parents.....

Wow, just wow.... straw man alert!!!!

Sorry, but I can smell someone engaging in dirty debate tactics from a mile away.

Seriously, you should have a doctor look at that chip on your shoulder....

Try being responsible before any of that occurs.
BTW,you don't actually have children, right?

The horrible thing about what you say is that there are actually people that believe it.

Just a russian troll factory directive of the day.

Is it normal to abort before 18 ?starting a life with abortion ?

It's an unfortunate reality that developing sex drives often outpace emotional development, a consequence of which can be pregnancy. It's why abstinence-only education does not make any sense.

That is your interpretation, not necessarily how it was meant.

Perhaps you can address it instead of hurling insults?

No. And I never once in my entire life had sex without birth control.

I believe in having sex responsibly. But it's a lie to say that having an abortion isnt also responsible.

You dont compound one error with another. That's just dumb...and harmful.

BS you mean they won't admit so. That would all the glamour and peer acceptance out of doing it.

A statement just about as disconnected from reality as I've ever read here, except for the one by applejuicefool in my signature.

Abortion: it's all about "glamour and peer acceptance." :doh

I don't believe anyone can be totally callus that they are immune from such an act.
That is due to ignorance and the delusion that just because you believe something it must be so and others have to believe it too.
