(a) In determining the meaning of any Act of Congress, or of any ruling, regulation, or interpretation of the various administrative bureaus and agencies of the United States, the words “person”, “human being”, “child”, and “individual”, shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development.

(b) As used in this section, the term “born alive”, with respect to a member of the species homo sapiens, means the complete expulsion or extraction from his or her mother of that member, at any stage of development, who after such expulsion or extraction breathes or has a beating heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord, or definite movement of voluntary muscles, regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut, and regardless of whether the expulsion or extraction occurs as a result of natural or induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion.

(c) Nothing in this section shall be construed to affirm, deny, expand, or contract any legal status or legal right applicable to any member of the species homo sapiens at any point prior to being “born alive” as defined in this section.

Sorry, I view the law as illogical. It is political, not natural. As I said, I just follow my common sense. Take care.

Anyone can use words as they wish.

But it is a legal issue so those that debate it that truly want change need to address legal means...because abortion wont magically make itself illegal. Or make more restrictions. That requires legislation.

But hopefully you have peace of mind knowing that each woman can act according to her own beliefs and needs.

The law doesn't even apply to me so I don't want to debate anything. I just think that it is illogical not to think of a human fetus as a human being. I think abortion is the killing of a human being. It is legal. I understand that. But the justification for it is illogical in my view.
 
I generally do not respond to threads on choice, as I do not have the proper plumbing to be physically affected. My late girlfriend and I had three surprise children and never once did we consider to abort. However we were both pro choice and we made our choice and No one has the right to make that choice for us.
