Men (Cisgender Men) Can Get Pregnant & Have A Uterus, So Abortion Is A Unisex Issue

Re: Men (Cisgender Men) Can Get Pregnant & Have A Uterus, So Abortion Is A Unisex Iss

A hysterotomy is a type of abortion that is performed via C-section. In fact, here is an article (a pro-choice article, actually) referring to such an operation as an abortion: https://rewire.news/article/2013/06...triz-and-the-global-anti-choice-spin-machine/

(Pertinent quote from above article: "Beatriz had a hysterotomy, a form of abortion carried out through c-section, and a procedure of such high risk compared to other forms of abortion, and of such last resort, according to medical experts, it is practically never performed in the United States.")

So the two terms are not mutually exclusive. One can have a C-section abortion, or a laparoscopy abortion. And, as I have stated previously, fetus-in-fetu, in some cases, can be defined as a pregnancy, and, if removal of it by laparoscopy constitutes a type of abortion, then, males have gotten pregnant before, and have had abortions before.

Except it isn't described that way. It's described as a C-section. And yes, obviously these sorts of emergencies would be rare in a country with first world prenatal. What's your point?

No, men have never been pregnant. My god, you're like a broken record of biological mythology.

Look, dude. You can't get pregnant. No man can get pregnant. Therefore abortion doesn't concern you, and it never will until that changes. I am not going to go around in circles with your fantasy narrative that people without ova can somehow become pregnant by natural means. 'Night.

Alright, forget semantics. Have males had fetuses inside their bodies? The answer is an unequivocal yes. Whether or not that counts as having been pregnant depends on how one defines the words "pregnant" and "pregnancy". It's entirely a semantic issue. In any case, the moral issue of terminating the life of another organism that is inside one's body exists in male fetus-in-fetu, just as it exists in female pregnancy, and that is the crux of the moral dilemma over abortion, and is why it is such a controversial political topic. And a hysterotomy that terminates a conceptus IS referred to as a "hysterotomy abortion".

And here are some example of fetus-in-fetu being referred to as making a man pregnant, and as male pregnancy, in the scientific literature:

https://books.google.com/books?id=3...nippet&q=fetus-in-fetu male pregnancy&f=false

https://books.google.com/books?id=Q...=onepage&q=fetus-in-fetu man pregnant&f=false

References to such is just that. The story you linked about the 15 year old boy - was born with his twin in his body. It's the only case of its kind that's occurred in a male body in such a way as described in the article.

Here's what's not happening. There's no cisgender males getting pregnant after having a sexual experience with a female. The ordinary, run-of-the-mill cisgender male, is not ever going to become pregnant from having ordinary sexual intercourse with a female.

Cant think of anyway that the OP's post changes my stance on my pro-choice perspective. I'm more than happy to extend my views to anyone carrying an unborn human.

Or we could all, oh I don't know, live-n-let-live, manage our owns lives according to our own preceptual realities and principles, while leaving others to theirs?
