What this Catholic nun has to say about being truly pro-life is going to upset a lot

Re: What this Catholic nun has to say about being truly pro-life is going to upset a

Then you would have know that I made no effort to debunk it again in this thread.

Sure, I can make that argument.

The gov't doesn't come like a thief in the night and abscond with your tax money, leaving you bereft.
You get something in return for your taxes.

This is really ground level, basic stuff here.

That argument debunks nothing. A thief can steal someones property and provide something in return. In fact, such a thing has been done plenty of times throughout history. You should perhaps stick to personal attacks, just sayin'.

It indeed debunks it.

That, or you're ignorant of what the word 'theft' means.

And that doesn't surprise me in the least. Nor does your lack of historical knowledge.

Re: What this Catholic nun has to say about being truly pro-life is going to upset a

LOL! You're using one position of hers to say her PhD isn't worth dog crap, then pull out the long-debunked RW idiot's meme that taxation is theft, and you wonder why people consider you ignorant.

Oh, boy.

Nothing you said debunks taxation is theft. Tell me, if I force protection on you and force you to pay me for it did I steal your property? Yes, I did. You probably don't even see how that is exactly what the state is doing though. There is a reason the mob comparison works when speaking about the state, and again, you probably don't get why that is.

Yes, I've already debunked it, but you go right ahead and pretend otherwise if it makes your conceptual house of cards remain standing.

No one is forcing protection on you.

You're in completely over your head.

You're free to provide me a definition of the word theft that leaves an exception in cases where the thief leaves a little in return for what they took without consent. Fun fact: The defination of the word theft doesn't leave an exception for a beneficent thief.

No one is forcing protection on me at this very moment? Really? :lamo

Henrin is opposed to taxation that funds programs he doesn't support. I have yet been able to find Henrin posts where he was apoplectic about taxation that funds highway and bridge construction and maintenance or communicable disease prevention or education or the FAA or the military.

Awwwww... with taxes, that's not what's happening, so the traditional definition remains intact

Pro-tip: words have meanings. You should look into that.

Yup. Really.

You're clearly not aware enough to understand that.

Pretty much. That, and he believes in fairy tales.

Sad, really.

You sure are clear in your posts. Care to provide that definition or what? Hint: There is a legal and common usage definition. It should be obvious which definition I'm using here.

Sorry, but you're wrong. The government is at this very moment tasked themselves with upholding my rights regardless of what I think of it. What does the mob do again? Oh right, they provide protection to people regardless of what they think about it. See anything similar yet?

Yawn. Sorry, I don't play cutsie-poo word games. I'm aware of both defintions.

Neither one supports your unhinged delusional claims.

You'll have to play that game alone.

Really? So theft is not the taking of another person's property without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it? It is, you say? Well, I guess when I didn't consent to a property transfer with the government they stole my property. lol

No, I'm not. And what the mob does and what the gov't does is simply not the same thing.

You're free to move to the back of beyone, forage and live a substenance lifestyle and pay no taxes and eschew any the protection of any police force.

You won't, though. Talking the talk is easy.

Walking the walk? Eh... not so much.

I see no argument in that post. Try again.

Your getting something for return for it on a contractual basis. Tell me, how do you get to the grocery store?

You're in so for over your head you probably can't even see the sun on the surface.

Lol! You realize that is what the mob does, right?

Of course you don't.

I accept your surrender and admission that you have no idea what you're braying about.

Re: What this Catholic nun has to say about being truly pro-life is going to upset a

You realize that's not what the mob does, right?

It's exactly what they do. They consider their forced agreement binding and so does the government. You have no case here, you know.

Newp. Not even remotely the same thing.

I accept your 2nd surrender.

Re: What this Catholic nun has to say about being truly pro-life is going to upset a

This has nothing to do with capitalism. This woman believes that jesus would condone her approval of stealing from people so they help others. She needs to get a better grasp of her book because she is wrong and is in fact advocating sinning.

Don't understand. How are taxes theft, if duly passed by a legislature? What have you earned that was not facilitated by government in some form? Pay up for the service. You don't even have to say thanks.

Why does it matter if the government facilitated the earning of my property?
