France has a long political history as a champion of liberal ideology. The population traditionally votes for democrat and socialist candidates.

Liberal politics took a barely noticeable turn in 1993 as conservatives began to garner more and more support, leading to a complete overturning of power to the conservative nationals in 1995 in three major city governments. While the rest of the country remained overwhelmingly liberal, conservative wins increased over the years, sparing a short lull in the early 2000’s. Since the lull, conservative power has recovered.

Today, it’s feared that Marine Le Pen, daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen (long-time leader of the Conservative party Front National) could win the Presidential race. She is running on a conservative Trump-like campaign. Liberals are simply baffled by her popularity.

Voters must be 18 years of age to vote in France.

1993 is exactly 18 years after abortion was legalized (Veil Law of 1975).

Coincidence?

What exactly are you claiming here?

An answer to a math problem. A political party doesn't enjoy a long and prosperous future by supporting policies that prevent or annihilate the lives of its future supporters.

The same thing is happening here in the states.

So....aborted children are all future democrats? And unaborted children are mostly republicans?

Yeah, good luck proving that.

UNTIL PROVED OTHERWISE, THE EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THAT WHAT HAPPENED HERE IN THE STATES IS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU CLAIM. Here, political conservatives have been promoting the use of electronic voting systems that DON'T have a paper trail to prove that the election results were not undetectably modified. (You don't hack the individual voting machines; you hack the vote-tallying system.) And one result is that pollsters predicting election results, using decades of well-validated ways to randomly sample opinions, have been baffled by election results favoring political conservatives. Net result: The political conservatives here actually don't believe in democracy; they believe in cheating.

I don't know what the electronic-voting situation is in France. Perhaps someone should look into it....

so pro-choice leads to a positive for conservatives because abortion kills off lefties so essentially they are annihilating themselves

that is some twisted logic there Blinky

let me take a wild guess.........you love Trump, he is your hero.

In 2003, the results of political studies from two seperate
universities confirmed that there is indeed a genetic
component to a person's political preferences. I believe the
study indicated roughly 40%-60% of us will likely vote along
the same political ideologies as our biological parents.

This is not a phenomenon unique to American politics.

Genetics are propagated by reproduction.

Hmmm - possibly the study is a good topic in and of itself.
I'll check to see if it's already been discussed and start
a thread on the science if you're interested.

Thanks

P.S. Trump is NOT my hero. .
