You're merely interested? Oh, no, it's much more than that.
No, not really. I'm interested in determining if your positions are consistent or selective.
So you to repeatedly engaged me to inform me about what you've judged as my hypocrisies and inconsistencies...am I ruining your life?
Not at all. I'm posting on an Internet debate forum, I obviously have nothing else I'd rather be doing. So, I watch some basketball and point out the inconsistency in your position, while amusing myself with the fact you won't answer simple questions to avoid admitting your true beliefs.
Well, I feel blessed to have been confronted from a saint, a man of pure honesty, integrity.
You're welcome. You're also still not answering the question.
So if you can't bring yourself from repeatedly attacking me
I haven't attacked you once. I've given you many opportunities to clarify your position and explain why your position is not based in partisanship. I've even offered to make you feel better if you acknowledge your position is hypocritical, by pointing out I'm open and honest in my everyday life about situations in which I'm hypocritical.
No, far from attacking you, I've given you every opportunity to prove yourself someone who believes in positions, not politics. To this point, you've refused to provide any evidence though.
because I don't conform to your beliefs, standards, moral compass, then I suggest that you talk with someone about this obsessive, compulsive need to set people straight according to your beliefs, views, and political allegiance.
I already told you it has nothing to do with what I believe, but rather is about what you believe.
And you somehow believe that everybody sees your political views always consistent, never hypocritical? There's no such a place when it comes to politics and religion.
Sure there is. It's actually pretty easy to not be partisan/hypocritical. Do you know how to do it? I'll give you a hint...you decide how you feel about a position and you stick to that position no matter who agrees or doesn't agree with it.
But that's not what you're doing. You condemned Republicans for the same thing you applauded Democrats. And if it is simply the case that you recognize yourself to be hypocritical on such an issue, just be honest and say so. I'd have no problem with that at all.
But you aren't doing that. You're trying to justify one person's actions while condemning similar actions from another. So what choice does one have but to assume partisanship?
As long as the Texas Legislature is under the control of "the radical right", and continue to repeatedly and knowing create laws that they know to be unconstitutional, I'll continue to criticise them exactly in the manner that's shaken you to the core of your being.
I love your strawman arguments. I guess when the inconsistency of one's position is exposed, all that's left is to wildly flail at any mirage masquerading as a strawman.
I've never once criticized you for criticizing Texas Republicans. I suspect I would mostly agree with you on the subject. No, my criticism is in the fact you think it's okay for the Democrat to waste taxpayer time and money, but not the Republican. And, again, if you would have declared you realize your position is hypocritical, then this conversation could have been over a long time ago. But you keep trying to justify it. And that's the issue at hand here.
And I 100% support Farra's actions. I don't care what her political label is.
Yes, you support wasting taxpayer time and money...but only for causes you support. Right?
Oh, I'm not bothered in the least. I'll happily keep pressing you to see if you'll recognize the inconsistency in your position. As I said, while I'm watching basketball, I have nothing I'd rather be doing than posting.
Also, just to remind you where we currently are:
"Why is one okay and not the other? Why is it okay to create legislation to mock which will never pass, but not okay to pass legislation which isn't going to pass the courts? Why the inconsistency? I've asked you that numerous times and you have yet to give me an answer which doesn't basically boil down to "Republicans are bad!".
Why the inconsistency? If you don't want to be considered partisan, then give me a non-partisan answer to this question, a question which I've also asked you multiple times."
If you could answer the question, that would be swell.
