40 Days for Life campaign begins today[W:127]

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

They are beings; they exist. And they are human.
BY THAT DEFINITION, you should be calling the walls of your residence "wall beings". Also, hydatidiform moles exist and are human, but not even abortion opponents will call them "human beings". Which means the relevant definition of "being" is entirely different from mere "existence", and you still need to provide evidence that typical unborn humans qualify for that other definition.

A hydatidiform mole is not an organism while even a one-celled human is.

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

Not according to biology.

Nota is correct. Your assertions about biological fact are in error. This is nothing new, in either case.

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

Nota is correct.
Actually she is not, or are you nor have you ever been able to offer any evidence to the contrary.

Your assertions about biological fact are in error.
If that were the case you should be able to offer some evidence to the contrary.

This is nothing new, in either case.
Yes, your unsupportable assertion, the inability to post any evidence ever to support your assertions is nothing new.

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

A hydatidiform mole is not an organism while even a one-celled human is.
Every single cell of a hydatidiform mole is as 100% a human organism as the zygote from which it is descended. Therefore, if a zygote deserves to be called "a human being" then a hydatidiform mole deserves to be called "a mass of human beings". However, since I strongly doubt you can accept that, since we both know hydaditiform moles are actually Bad Things that must be terminated, we are back to the earlier situation in which the word "being" refers to something other than "existence" in the phrase "human being". It refers to something ordinary animals don't have, else we would be calling them "dog beings" and "rabbit beings" and "lizard beings" and so on, endlessly. If you want to make the Positive Claim unborn humans have that particular quality, worthy of getting called "beings", then that's the claim you should be supporting with evidence.

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

IRRELEVANT. As I explained in another msg.

Your assertions about biological fact are in error.
WITH RESPECT TO STUFF YOU HAVE BLATHERED, like claims unborn humans don't cause harm, that is one of the most accurate statements you've ever made about yourself!

This is nothing new, in either case.
BECAUSE YOU HAVE REPEATED THAT WORTHLESS BLATHER FAR TOO MANY TIMES!

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

Trying to force a woman to let something grow in her body against her will is indeed one of the most immoral things I can think of... but of course YMMV.
Why do you support state-sponsored coercion?

You mean her own child or at least would-be child? You are committing a fallacy here by trying to disguise what you are actually talking about.

Is it always immoral to force her? Even at eight months?

Wessexman!!! I just thought I'd say 'hi'. It's been a while since you've been in these parts. Your post is still in my sig. :2razz:

Yes. It is always immoral.
IF it can survive at eight months, then I encourage medical experts to help it succeed.

So your argument is that she should be able to abort a baby at 9 months... nice.

Wrong. At 9 months it's viable, and can be removed without it being "aborted".

Why should she be allowed to abort viable babies? Just because she wants to?

Can you read? If the baby is viable, how then is it "aborted"?
I said that a woman must have the right to have something removed from her body at any time.

Do I believe it would be morally repugnant? Yes.
But I don't believe in legislating morality.

It is morally repugnant to abort a viable baby... that is correct. Why do you feel that she should have this option though? You won't answer that very simple question.

If you haven't seen my answer it could only be due to your own reading comprehension error or deliberate ignorance.

Re: 40 Days for Life campaign begins today

It's also not an "it."

Good point... I am not sure why he just can't answer the question.

You really like to play these games, don't you.

Well, you are not very good at it.

Asked a question... you make a feeble non-direct answer. When questioned further you say you answered it and insult people's reading comprehension. If that works for you in your RL then keep it up. Here though, most see it as dishonest and as a sign of defeat.

You are welcome to define your inability to follow my argument any way you choose.
Furthermore, I made no comment about anyone else's reading comprehension... only yours.
Do try to keep up.
Maybe take a minute to reflect before responding.

I defined it accurately. You are free to dismiss facts if you like.
