Hey Phys251, you're going to vote for only women, right?

Who is qualified to speak, and make decisions, about abortion?

Sex and/or gender-wise.

Both. Human beings should be weighing in on this subject regardless of gender. Both sexes are being destroyed. Only makes sense.

Which decisions? The individual decision of a pregnant person of whether they will have an abortion in their particular circumstances or more general decisions about things like the legal status and clinical procedures? They're almost entirely different questions.

Ultimately, it is the woman's choice. But that doesn't mean the husband shouldn't be consulted or the two of them talk it out. I suppose that could also mean a boyfriend. But I don't think any man should have veto rights.

Good point. I didn't intend to include the ultimate decision in the topic, but I was too vague on that. I meant everything up to that.

I cannot possibly imagine what triggered this question. ;)

I believe so as well.

Having a child takes two people (majority of cases by far).
Starting a family is a decision by both parents.
Being a family is best done with both parents.
Both adults are stakeholders. Both should make the decision together.

If the woman doesn't have her partner with her, then the decision is hers alone.

Anybody can have an opinion.

Who can make decisions about abortion?

I am pro-choice. That should indicate a clear answer on the subject.

Barring cutting-edge high-tech skullduggery, it takes both men and women to make a baby, and the issue affects both, so both men and women have the right to an opinion on same.

One can argue whose opinion carries more weight... but not their right to one.
