Lena Dunham says she never had an abortion but 'I wish I had'

I do believe that her 15 minutes are about up.

Good riddance.

Wasn't her fifteen minutes of fame over the fact that she raped her sister or something?

She'd have to pay someone to knock her up first.

Irresponsible sperm banks that give sperm to women not in a relationship have her covered there.

I wonder if her mother felt the same way.

That was an amazingly tone deaf comment if there ever was one.

It is not like she has not had a problem with that before, but this is about the worse.

Clearly she has no interest in learning to do better.

It is time for her to leave the stage.

That's nothing. A year or so ago there was a movement where women would brag about their abortions in the attempt to increase acceptance. It failed pretty horribly as you would expect.

It was for being dirty, which she packaged as "up with women" and the left bought it..."See we women can be just as nasty as the worst of men, and we have a duty to feminism to be just that nasty..EQUALITY"...that's her shtick.

If she had any talent it might work.

Isn't her kid hearing this?

Or does she not understand what an abortion is?

She has a kid? Her Wiki page only mentioned her parents and her husband. Really, I can't believe she is married. That's just awful.

I don't even know who this chick is -- but it's as stupid and ignorant as Trump saying he always wanted a Purple Medal.

Why does Dunham need another woman to white knight her?

Because only radical lefty women or cuck men would....

She is beyond the pale.

Even though Dunham sticks her foot in her mouth with alarming frequency, a certain subset of white feminists have remained fiercely loyal to her, erasing her misbehavior as soon as it happens. In 2012, HuffPost Women preemptively declared that they would not “participate in the Lena Dunham backlash,” even praising her “thoughtful” response to criticisms of the overwhelming whiteness of Girls.
And as Dunham’s indiscretions have become more difficult to ignore, it’s become de rigueur for white feminists to acknowledge that she is a polarizing figure while still supporting her on the whole

So, let me see if I understand this.

She doesn't have any kids. She has never had an abortion, which suggests that she's never been pregnant. But, she wants to conceive just so she can abort it, because that would bolster her political "street cred".

Is that it?

I think that's a sign of mental illness.

She is trying to be a sort of Howard Stern, what she does not understand though is that almost no one wants abortion to be a standard form of birth control like it once was (still is?) in Eastern Europe....we want abortions to be available, safe and rarely used.

She is a performer who does not know her audience, nor does she ever care enough to learn.

But then again her lack of talent has been a constant.

Greetings, Hawkeye10. :2wave:

Barack Obama's mother was a Dunham, which is not an everyday common name - are she and Lena related?

Apparently no DP women care to defend her.

Which is understandable.

I'll wear the woman hat :) but, I don't think I can do much with this.

Here's the context:
"One day, when I was visiting a Planned Parenthood in Texas a few years ago, a young girl walked up to me and asked me if I’d like to be a part of her project in which women share their stories of abortions," she says. "I sort of jumped. 'I haven’t had an abortion,' I told her. I wanted to make it really clear to her that as much as I was going out and fighting for other women’s options, I myself had never had an abortion. And I realized then that even I was carrying within myself stigma around this issue. Even I, the woman who cares as much as anybody about a woman’s right to choose, felt it was important that people know I was unblemished in this department."

She concludes the segment by stating: "Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had."
Lena Dunham Never Had An Abortion Podcast Quote

She obviously isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier. But, I can almost see where she was intending to go with this. It's just that she either doesn't communicate very well or she is suffering from a mental defect.

Now, it could just be that she is a narcissist. IMO, only a self-absorbed dimwit would say she cannot fully identify with the abortion women without having herself had one. It's a lot like saying she cannot empathize with someone who has cancer because she hasn't had it yet. WTF?
