Mom Beats Boyfriend with Baby

It seems entirely reasonable to not allow the state to order people to get surgeries.

I believe in this case it wasn't an order it was you are sentenced to x... but we will commute that if you get a vasectomy. so he had an option.

Yes, I know how it works. It basically the same as offering men to get chemically castrated or go to prison. It's an unacceptable choice.

In this case however the man didn't commit any crimes by having babies, but the judge still felt inclined to offer him that choice. The judge was completely out of line.

The issue was non support. So just send them to jail without that option ?

I realize the issue is non support. However, the fact that he wants to stop the man from reproducing makes me think he is treating the man having babies as a crime.

Well perhaps that's the conclusion you draw from it.. the conclusion I draw from it is he thinks it may prevent more kids from having an absent father who doesn't support them.

Having babies is not a crime. Not attempting to meet your obligations is.....try not paying your taxes.

I wonder what the judge will think is an acceptable choice to offer in that situation.

For not paying taxes? How about giving your phone number to all known telemarketers on the planet or jail. :lamo

Abortion does not cost $1k for no income individuals at Planned Parenthood centers and Obamacare already took care of covering everyone...right?

No, Obamacare does not cover abortion costs.
We have the Hyde amendment which means Federal tax dollars cannot be used for abortions.

It is amazing that after all this time, those misconceptions (perhaps more like lies) still can be put out there about Obamacare.

State funded Medicaid can be and is used to fund abortion in the 17 states that have made Medicaid their obamacare mandated default provider. And there's always a fund to be able to kill the unborn child if insurance won't pay for it.

STILL amazed that in a thread about a piece of **** that used her baby as a weapon, people want to make the focus about abortion like 900,000 a year isn't enough.

Actually, the US abortion rate is at 40 year low.

According to the CDC there were just under 700,000 legal induced abortions in the US in 2012.

In 2012, 699,202 legal induced abortions were reported to CDC from 49 reporting areas. The abortion rate for 2012 was 13.2 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 years, and the abortion ratio was 210 abortions per 1,000 live births.

Compared with 2011, the total number and ratio of reported abortions for 2012 decreased 4%, and the abortion rate decreased 5%.

Additionally, from 2003 to 2012, the number, rate, and ratio of reported abortions decreased 17%, 18%, and 14%, respectively.

Given the large decreases in the total number, rate, and ratio of reported abortions from 2011 to 2012, in combination with decreases that occurred during 2008–2011, all three measures reached historic lows.

And that is a decision that states make...federal dollars are not used. State funds are. Hyde amendment is still enforced

And?

STILL not about abortion.

If abortion was encouraged and not stigmatized like it has been here in the past 20 years, chances are better that the 16 year old who now, at 18, beat her boyfriend with a baby, would not have carried the pregnancy to term.

The second you use the word 'just' in front of 700,000 butchered unborn children you lose credibility. And humanity.
Good grief. who cares about unborn "children"? Don't you yet see that there is enough to do to just worry about those who are already born?

Do you have the first ****ing clue as to if the sick **** that used her baby as a weapon ever thought about, considered, or wanted and was denied an abortion? Geeeezus dood...WTF are you still on about? Maybe you should advocate that the government round up all low income women and sterilize them for their own good.

I guess I can comment because I remember when abortion was not stigmatized. Back in the 70's pregnant teenagers aborted unwanted pregnancies. Today, they keep their babies. I blame Madonna.

I hear you. You know whats best for them. You should wholeheartedly advocate for rounding up poor women, minority women...hell...all women, and force sterilize them for their own good. That must be the problem after all. You have no idea if she sought an abortion, but you know what...**** facts...**** reality...just kill them for their own good. Take away their choice.

No. I'd give them incentives to abort and get their tubes tied. Two free years here, if they do both.

No. You saw heinous act, black woman, probably low income, and decided the problem was she didnt get to kill her unborn child. So you should really advocate for what you are actually saying and stop *****footing around. You want poor minority women sterilized for their own good and for the sake of their unborn children.

No. I saw heinous act by a totally inept parent who should not have been a mother, and probably would not have been one if the system was per my design.

I'm sure she would have accepted the above crash pad in exchange for an abortion and tubal ligation.
