Did Trump just lose Postal Workers?

Did he ever have them?

LOL. They either voted for him or didn't and will vote for him or not. Nobody changes stripes that easily.....and you failed to account for the possibility maybe a few of these people are sick of working so much overtime while people are sitting at home on their arses.

Believe it or not, people do vote their livelihoods. When Trump attacks the post office, he attacks them and their families. You're obviously not a blue collar person. Many of them need overtime to make ends meet a little easier or to give them a cushion for hard times.

I do not know if that is true. If your job is being directly threatened I think the issues are a little closer to home. You might care less about a Wall and more about your mortgage at that point.

I wouldn't count on the bolded. For hourly employees, time-and-a-half O.T. is where the gravy's at! Any hourly place I was at, the O.T. was fought over. So much so, that in union shops it's dolled-out by seniority.

Enough FedEx and Amazon workers will make up for the loss of those sorry assed Post Office workers.

FedEx and Amazon workers will vote for Trump because.......?

With the Postal Workers Union endorsing Biden, and claiming the security of 600,000 Postal Jobs is threatened by Trump, did he just lose the support of 600,000 workers?

He touts his Police Union endorsement, which has 17,000 members. 600,000 members seems like a lot to be pissing off.

Wish Trump would go on offense against all government employee unions. Next term......

The postal workers endorsed Hillary in 2016 and Bernie in 2020. He hasn't lost anything.

I can assure you cops in my city love him (Trump).

We'll see if your broad swath of a certain clientele is true.
Broad swathing is what extreme left and extreme right posters do.
Agreeing with posters who agree with you and V-V is lame.

This is strong evidence that Qpublicans hate Police, Fire, Teachers, and Nurses.

Trump hasn't attacked them. Their employer is bankrupt due to poor management, management that the workers themselves probably hate.

Their livelihood wasn't being threatened those years, or splashed across National News or Twitter.

Don't project your opinions on people you know nothing about.

Oh only democrats like you can do that :2razz:

When was the last time you met a happy postal worker who LOVED!!!!!! their job? The phrase "going postal" exists for a reason.

You do know this is 2020 as in they endorsed "Bernie in 2020"?

Well, I don't have stats, so I'm not debating. But anecdotally, at least the ones in my large urban city seem to be majority Trump. But I must premise this by saying the coppers I know are primarily Caucasian. There may be differences along racial or ethnic lines. That, I don't know.

But the guys I do know are pretty much Trump, to a one. And I'm talking a half dozen guys, but way more actually because when I see them they're often with other coppers I don't know, and they're all talking the same language. And they talk about Trump a lot!

And again (anecdotally), I'm seeing the same thing amongst the several A.D.A.'s I happen to interact with. And a judge too, for what it's worth.

So in my neck of the woods, at least among those I associate with, I'm seeing very strong support for Trump among law enforcement & criminal justice.

Just reporting what I see ... take it or leave it ...

Love that you think that I am strong evidence. Thank you.

Public unions are corrupt. Who represents the taxpayers?

Once again a calm post from a calm poster.
I'm just not willing to give up on police and firefighters whose unions have been strong for Democrats in the past.

Police and Fire need to keep hearing that GOPs hate their unions.
They all know their unions fight for the Democratic values of wages, pensions, and health care.

Trump is having a difficult time pigeon-holing Sen. Harris on law-and-order matters.
The clientele of police and fire does overlap with suburbanites.
Democrats lost in 2016 by depending on undependable clienteles and forgetting about their union folks.

#Dignity of Work by Sen. Sherrod Brown has been picked up by Biden.

Members of Public Unions pay more taxes than GOP Oligarchs.

You have no idea how blue collar people relate to their jobs. Their jobs feed their families, send their kids to school. Sometimes they hate their jobs, but the always love their coworkers. The job is a grind sometimes but they keep on because they have mortgages to pay, Their kids need school clothes and supplies and all the rest of life's expenses. They won't thank you for telling them they need a break from overtime that helps their families get a little ahead or for attacking their employer, cutting their hours taking away equipment vital to their jobs. Funny thing. They won't think you know anything about what's good for them.

As I said "going postal" exists for a reason.

So now you resort to old slurs against postal workers. So you. Thanks for admitting your animosity toward the working class.

Trump knows that he doesn't have a majority of Americans that support him and never will. The Republicans know this as well. It's why we saw **** like we did in 2018 where Dodge City, Kansas, with a high Latino population, had 1 polling place, and it was outside the city limits. So now, it's getting to the point where just making it harder to vote for minorities is not good enough, they have to defund the postal service to the point to where millions of mail-in voters could be disenfranchised. It is literally like the modern Republican-Trumpist platform boils down to "**** you America!".

A reasonable party would look at America today and think, you know, we probably should moderate our positions on some issues so that we appeal to a more diverse electorate, but instead, they look at the more diverse electorate and think we need to make it as hard as possible for them to vote, or for their votes to be counted, because otherwise, we will lose.

What Trump is engaging in is the exact kind of soft authoritarianism that we see under guys like Viktor Orban in Hungary and Putin in Russia.
