As I understand it, 70 reps are boycotting, but no senators.

I did hear that all 70 reps are assured re-elected ion as long as they win their primaries. I'm guessing, then, that, for them, this is campaigning.

Anyhow, why no senators boycotting?

The Senate was always supposed to consist of the cooler heads.

There is no black caucus in the Senate. I think it is shameful and unAmerican that there is one in the House. So the core of boycotting House members will be most or all of the black caucus plus others who choose to stand with them. And I find that about as repulsive and shameful and deplorable as it gets.

A bunch of black people, working in concert to achieve political ends, is pretty intimidating to you, huh?

Senate members are elected state wide - there are very few safe Senate seats but many safe House district seats. Symbolic gestures portraying these demorats as being among "the party of no" are a foolish and extremely lazy way to represent their districts.

This is not a good example of constructive criticism or offering an alternative policy:

Someone should form a white male caucus just to see how people would respond to it.

Anyone want to bet that it will go over well? No? Yeah, I didn't so.

That's because Senators are mostly grown-up and know, what democracies are about. ;)

Thank you for reminding me that snowflakes are white.

Well I hope that when Trump goes about revitalizing the ghettos, the republicans field candidates and billboards: "Your House Legislator is againstthis project".

But if they are in the "self marginalizing" business, then good for them. They can sit back in their little corner and pout.

Kinda like the N.A.A.W.P.?

National Association for the Advancement of White People.

We can't have that now can we?

No. It would be the same kind of thing as the black caucus and the woman's caucus. The response to the caucus would prove that there is a double standard in play.

Their work is needed in their black neighborhoods to stop the killing ,try working in concert to achieve that goal ONCE !

Do you live in a black neighborhood? What do you know about what happens there?

It's obvious you don't !

You know nothing about me, so you can keep that BS nonsense to yourself.

What gives you the idea you know how black communities can best be served?
No deflections accepted.
