Let us see, Trump has bashed what the intelligence agencies are telling him about probable hacking by Putin and his attempts to undermine US institutions. At the same time he supports what Assange, who is a sex offender and seeks to undermine the US, is saying. The same for Putin.
Why is it that Trump supporters do not seem to be concerned?

THe intel agencies have long been crap and are now part of a shadow government which violates my rights, Trump does not support Assange who is almost certainly not a sex offender in any way that I would ever give a damn about, and the world is on fire so we need to try to work with Putin.

Trump is right.

Why would I be concerned about that?

Because Trump is their "Great White Hope" and there will be no messing with him no matter what he says or does. If he is a failure then so are they and that won't be allowed. It makes little sense but who said Trump people had sense?

Because you think Putin wants to put out the "fire"? He is the one who benefits from it. We lose when Putin wins so working with him is surrender. I do see a yellow streak in the Trumpsters so maybe that is what they want.

What rights of yours have they violated?

There's little doubt that Trump supports Assange and Putin over the US.

Traitor Trump has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

There is no provision in the Constitution for parts of the government to be kept secret from the people who are supposed to be controlling it.

Geez, some dimwit here who compared the US intelligence community to Nazi Germany would be scorned and ridiculed but when Trump does it his trumpanzees hoot in unison.

Interesting question. Let's unpack this a bit.

COINTELPRO is a distant memory.

Unless you operate outside the US, most of the intelligence community involved in the Russia allegations, and the CIA in particular, doesn't pay attention to you.

I haven't heard much about the FBI massively violating anyone's rights lately. Did I forget something?

The most egregious violator of US citizen rights these days is most likely the NSA. Which is saying very little about the Russia allegations.

Trump is picking fights with the intelligence community. But if you think he's going to weaken the surveillance state, then you will be sorely disappointed. If anything, he is likely to ramp it up significantly, and his preference is to send suspected terrorists to Gitmo to get waterboarded.

There is no doubt that Trump cited Assange as an authority. He certainly hasn't blasted Assange as an anti-American rapist any time in the last few years.

Putin is one of the people who is destabilizing the world. He's responsible for the Russian invasion of Chechnya, as well as supporting a brutal strongman (Kadyrov). He attacked Georgia. He invaded Crimea. He's destabilizing Ukraine. He's almost certainly doing the same to other former Soviet republics. He almost certainly gave the order to poison one of his critics with plutonium, while in London (Litvinenko). It's highly plausible he's had other critics and critical journalists murdered in Russia itself. And of course, he's propping up Assad in Syria (another brutal strongman) mostly while attacking US-supported rebels.

Equally important: The world is NOT on fire. It really isn't. For the first time in 60 years, there are no wars in the Western Hemisphere. (None!) The number of wars, and number of people killed in wars, has dropped precipitously since 1991. Most military conflicts today are intrastate (civil wars), which while of course not being good, also means that those wars are far less likely to spill over into other nations. The number of genocides has dropped precipitously. Education is up. Internet usage is up. Cell phone usage is routine, even in the poorest of nations.

You're suffering from deep misperceptions about the world. Perhaps you should ask yourself why?

Are you saying that the existence of classified material is unconstitutional?

There is no provision in the Constitution for parts of the government to be kept secret from the people who are supposed to be controlling it.

Well, no one elected you to control the government....so what rights of yours did the intel agencies violate?

The people don't control anything. The counties do!:2razz:
This is a republic... not a democracy.

Suck it up buttercup.

Extremists always take everything to the extreme....including their hypocrisy.

Incredibly articulate and well-reasoned post.

There is no provision in the Constitution for parts of the government to be kept secret from the people who are supposed to be controlling it.

And you really think trump is going to MEANINGFULLY change anything? You are in for some disappointment once reality sets in.

No, no, no.

After initially coining him "Whiny Donald" back during the campaign, a week or two ago I posted here giving him "Trump the Traitor".

I think you were very much on the right track though, but I'm claiming dibs! :2razz:

Huh?

Put out fires with Putin? :lamo

Did you not see what he did this election? :doh

During the inauguration, do you think the band will play "Hail To The Tweet"?

Perhaps the Secret Service will give the new POTUS the code name "Cheeto".

Yes, I saw that but I couldn't remember who posted it...so I couldn't give you credit. But I'm glad you're here to correct the record. :)

However, Trump the Traitor is a mouthful. Whereas...Traitor Trump is short, simple and easier for the masses to repeat...and type.

Hey, I just thought of a new one....

Traitor Trash Trump.

LOL You heard it first here, folks.

LOL Frankly, I'm surprised people aren't calling him Tweety.

<sing> You say Cheeto...and I say Cheato....Cheeto, Cheato...lets call the whole thing off.

Codename: Cheeto Puff

Partisanship. Many of those same people would be outraged if it was about Hillary and Hillary won. Likewise, many of those outraged now wouldn't think it was a big deal if it had been Hillary. what can I say? Partisanship sucks.

Hey, no problem!

"Trump the Traitor" has that archaic sinister quality though, like "Ivan the Terrible"!

And it seems he and Ivan have similar personality traits:

"Historic sources present disparate accounts of Ivan's complex personality: he was described as intelligent and devout, yet given to rages and prone to episodic outbreaks of mental instability[3] that increased with his age.[4]

and,

"Ivan's notorious outbursts and autocratic whims helped characterize the position of Tsar as one accountable to no earthly authority, only to God.[14] Tsarist absolutism faced few serious challenges until the late 19th century. Ivan's legacy was manipulated by Communist Russia, as a potential focus for nationalist pride; his image became closely associated with the personality cult of Joseph Stalin.["

Source: Wikipedia: Ivan the Terrible

Just as Ivan parlayed the position of 'Grand Duke of Moscow' to the autocratic dictatorial rule by force of the 'Tsar of Russia', we have yet to see where Trump takes the Presidency - but I believe I know where he'd like to take it!

Mick Jagger may indeed have been clairvoyant when he penned "Anastasia screamed in vain", as he wrote "Sympathy for the Devil"!

What you are navigating around is the content of wiki leaks, and why this critical information was being withheld from voters. Once you understand and acknowledge where the information did NOT come from, and how American voters are entitled to that information, we can then discuss where the information did come from.
