HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (The Borowitz Report)—Plunging the future of the 2016 Presidential debates into doubt, Donald J. Trump said on Tuesday morning that he would not participate in the remaining two debates if Hillary Clinton is there.

Trump blasted the format of Monday night’s debate by claiming that the presence of Clinton was “specifically designed” to distract him from delivering his message to the American people.

“Every time I said something, she would say something back,” he said. “It was rigged.”

He also lambasted the “underhanded tactics” his opponent used during the debate. “She kept on bringing up things I said or did,” he added. “She is a very nasty person.”

Turning to CNN, Trump criticized the network’s use of a split screen showing both him and Clinton throughout the telecast. “It should have been just me,” he said. “That way people could have seen how really good my temperament is.”

The billionaire said that debate organizers had not yet responded to his ultimatum, but he warned that if he does not get assurances in writing that future debates will be “un-rigged, Hillary-wise,” he will not participate.

“I have said time and time again that I would only do these debates if I am treated fairly,” he added. “The only way I can be guaranteed of being treated fairly is if Hillary Clinton is not there.”

Of course this is satire. But it's really funny satire.

As a writer, humorist, musician, songwriter, and belt-sander repairman, I can attest to the fact that this is merely average satire.
Neither funny nor dull.

It's kind of like Britney Spears.
You can see where other people might find her attractive and interesting, but you know in your heart of hearts that she's neither.

Kind of like that, I guess that's what I am saying.
:)

Made me chuckle.

Only if you are a Hillary supporter.

You know; if you can't tar him with name calling (racist, misogynist, xenophobe, etc.), then try making him out to be a buffoon (like every liberal late night comic).

All this does is entrench those of us who already support him and help "undecided's" to see which side is more desperate to plug their candidate.

No wonder his rallies are always packed no matter where he goes...while her rallies could be held in a Starbucks coffee shop with room to spare.

In the words of Donald, "Wrong wrong wrong"

Most of the mockery comes from those who dislike Hillary too. They both have incredibly high negatives, so in this case, large rallies only indicates his supporters are irrational

Glad you enjoyed it! But you know what? He really is a buffoon. It's not just a random put-down. It's actually descriptive. Let me give you an example from the debate last night. Here's what he said about trade with Mexico:
"Let me give you an example of Mexico. They have a VAT tax. We’re in a different system. When we sell into Mexico, there’s a tax. When they sell – an automatic 16 percent approximately. When they sell into us, there’s no tax. It’s a defective agreement. It’s been defective for a long time, many years, but the politicians haven’t done anything about it."

Wow! An utter lack of understanding of this issue, which he himself raised!!! Let's say an American company has to pay a Mexican VAT when they sell their widgets in Mexico City. Okay, but guess who also has to pay that tax? Mexican companies selling in Mexico City. Border adjustability puts everybody on equal footing. Waiving the VAT on exports does the same thing. If Mexican companies had to pay the VAT on widgets they were sending to the U.S., they'd be at a huge disadvantage compared to their American rivals, who wouldn't face a domestic VAT. Mexico would essentially be suppressing its own exports.

Listening to Donald Trump makes you stupider. It confuses the listener, because Trump is almost always misinformed or uninformed or both. And since the example above is about one of his principle issues--trade--doesn't it make you wonder at the depths of his ignorance??? His utter lack of seriousness? His...buffoonery???

Okay, just one more example, although I could go on all night...

"Stop and frisk"
TRUMP: Now, whether or not in a place like Chicago you do stop and frisk, which worked very well, Mayor Giuliani is here, worked very well in New York. It brought the crime rate way down.
Here's the actual data:
