Lewandowski out Manafort in. As Trump campaign seems increasingly worried about their chances on the second ballot of the convention. They basically regulated Lewandowski to the kiddie table after the Michelle Fields mini-scandal. The Trump campaign is worried about two things. Cruz convincing delegates to vote for him at the election, and their unprofessional handling of the Lewandowski scandal.

Considering that Trump has threatened the delegates personally there's no way he gets any delegates to vote for him willingly

Roger Stone threatens to send Trump supporters to delegate hotel rooms

I see this ending in all kinds of fun!

I think it's too, little too late.

Mr. Trump propagates the message of, "I'll hire the best people to get the job done". But he's been woefully inadequate in that, not even knowing when he's out of his league.

He's unprepared and disorganized, as can be seen by Sen Cruz cleaning his clock in every aspect of the ground-game. For ex: Sen Cruz over-performs on election-night while Mr. Trump under-performs, and Sen Cruz utterly cleans-up in post election-night delegate acquisition. Both aforementioned attributes are ground-game dependent.

Trump may be a media and populist phenomena, but he doesn't know how to run a campaign. Just as Dr. Carson does not know how to campaign. It seems ironically appropriate they've hooked-up. But the truth is: Campaigning is the skill that gets one to the Presidency, and without being well skilled in that trade one never gets a chance to otherwise show their Presidential abilities.

Bang! It happens just like that. The 'wake up and smell the coffee" moment when you think you're on top of the world.

Donald has gotten where he is in this campaign with bull**** and mirrors. He has instinctively figured out exactly what buttons to push to get a result. But, with success comes scrutiny and the holes are beginning to show. It has nothing to do with his message, but how he has comported himself. Trump has answered most questions with "I have great people" but fails to indicate what those "great people" will do on issues where nothing has been done for decades.

He has run an 'outlaw' campaign and still it seems he needs to have that renegade image, however it's failing.

And of course the shoving incident is front and center, but stands as a beacon for how Donald has behaved with every criticism. Those clips of him encouraging violence and his obvious lies have hurt him deeply. We will see more of this as time moves along.

What we are now going to see out of him will be interesting as his campaign has to reign in all the weirdness but still maintain the bad boy image.

What I think will kill him is that its become time to start talking about the issues in concrete terms, and there is his weakest asset.

Having said that, I see Trump still being a disruptive and annoying source at the convention; ugliness that will mar the party brand and probably cost them the election

If there is just one more debate before June that would destroy Trump! But he wouldn't do the debate anyway, and it would just hurt Cruz or Kasich more. Propping up his renegade image, one last time.

What about that post or the article is a lie? You must have some overwhelming evidence right? Oh wait, you are a trump supporter. Never mind.

Trump has not threatened delegates personally...

TRump needs to prove that he can do respectable and competent on policy, he needs to prove his oft made claim that he can do it. He has very little time and if he pulls this off it will be amazing, it will be another lesson in politics. He does however need to bring more quality people onboard the campaign from what has been announced, I need to see more delegation of duties. If Trump is going to be President he needs to go all in on being a politician, and I am not sure that I am seeing that.

It's humbling enough that he has to regroup at this stage of the campaign. He is where he is by claiming he has the best people, "great people to make America great again". However, as you have observed, he doesn't delegate; he has told interviewers he is is his advisor whose opinion he seeks on international issues. So having now demonstrated that he does not delegate, doesn't have great people, but rather hoodlums, the turn around you describe simply isn't possible.

Having said that, I have learned not to under-estimate the stupidity of the American voter.

I dont see it as humbling at all, this is how Trump always works, he tries what he thinks is his best idea, his best plan, and if it does not work he recalibrates. See guys like trump learned long ago that there is no shame in trying and failing, the only shame comes from staying on the wrong road after you know it is the wrong road and also not learning the lessons that the failure has been trying to teach you. Trump has said at many points that he has a couple of times before now considered changing everything, but that he concluded that what he was doing was working so there was no reason to change. Now he has decided to change.

I promise you that Trumps ego is not at all bruised.

EDIT: I have been saying for weeks that Trump has undercut one of his main arguments for the chair, that he does things well. He has to change that perception by Cleveland and he does not have much time. If it works you will have seen a political tour de force.

Roger Stone has not been with the campaign for a lot of months, he was pushed out, mainly at the urging of Lewandowski. He is also small time.

Roger Stone's buddy Manafort just replaced Lewandowski

I saw that. Lewandowski messed up, and I am not talking about with the Breitbart "reporter". I like how Trump works, he will give specific jobs to people that no one else would, and so long as you do good work and never say no to a new challenge you get to stay. Lewandowski did not do good work, that always means you are finished with Trump.

When will Trump be firing himself?
