A couple of Trump Supporters start to see the man they've been defending

No. If Trump is the candidate and loses in the general, I'll mourn that we have to live with another President Clinton - but our country will continue to go on the same course it would under a President Cruz, a President Kasich - leveled, and just another part of the global combine.

I will blame the anti-Trumpeteers for clinging to their power and frustrating the change.

And btw, their never Trump bull**** isn't about principle at all. They've shown they don't give two ****s about principles, other than when they are stumping for election.

:lamo how many elections do you think Zyphlin and I have run for? :)

Heck, the politicians aren't even part of the #NeverTrump movement. Only one I can think of is Ben Sasse, and he's on his first tour. #NeverTrump is Movement Conservatives saying that our values are more important than our party.

But if every elected Republican and staffer refused to vote for Trump, it wouldn't make a dent. If he gets clobbered, it's because the People rejected him.

Which, it seems, is precisely what they are in the process of doing. :)

Coulter, a woman who has made a career of saying outrageous things to get attention, lambasting Trump for winning the nomination by employing the same strategy is deliciously ironic. however, yeah. it is ****ed up.

Trump is going to win and all the PC liberals and elitist establishment types that have been selling us down the river are going to cry like babies..

Even if he doesn't win, I don't care.. People are starting to wake up and open their eyes.. Things are going to change soon Trump or no Trump..

I think you have got it wrong, my friend. Being against Trump =/= being pro establishment. The truth is, Trump actually has the winning message. The further truth is that Trump is the worst possible messenger. The guy is an unprincipled, undisciplined, dishonest, immature, loud mouthed bully. The man is a walking disaster who is self-destructing right before our eyes. That is why I and many others oppose him. I used to think he would be better than Hillary, but now I am not so sure. The guy is not fit to be president plain and simple.

And once again, the turnout shows the only part of the party getting smaller are the anti-Trumpeteers. The rest of the party appears to be showing up to vote, in record numbers.

The amount of the voters in a primary are only indicative of the competitiveness of the primary. It does not predict the outcome or turnout during the general election.

Whew...I was worried for a second there.

By the way, what do you think about the notion that Donald Trump and his supporters represent a second civil war?

Hmm...
It is not the same as the civil war because the opposing sides are not geographically distinct.. It's not the north vs south, the 2 sides in this struggle are all mixed in with each other everywhere. In some places there are more of some than the others but both sides are spread completely across the entire country.

If Trump loses fair and square oh well, there shouldn't be much of a problem.
But if they straight up steal it from right infront of our faces people will be pissed, very pissed. People are already pissed because basically they have been stealing it from him already by doing nothing but attack him with all sorts of false propaganda and on and on.

Civil war? No, I don't see that happening.. It will have to get much much worse before it comes to that.
Us that have our eyes open an see 1984 happening.. They better knock it off before it gets that far and they have a war. That means especially you liberals.

Riots if they steal it from Trump? I could see it happening though I think it wouldn't be like Ferguson.. They may be slightly more intelligent than to burn there own stuff at random..

CPWILL 2024! Surely We Can't Do Worse Than We Just Did!

I will give you my endorsement if you can find a place for me in your cabinet. Preferably, the liquor cabinet.

Trumps Media Flacks May Be Hedging Their Bets

...Fox News’s Andrea Tantaros had been an adamant defender and champion of all things Trump for quite some time, both on-air and on Twitter. She seemed to take personal offense to National Review’s “Against Trump” issue, and has at times lashed out at the magazine’s writers (which has included the leveling of false charges). Tantaros has taken subtle and not-so-subtle shots at her Fox News colleagues for being critical of Trump — her advocacy for the GOP front-runner has been so glaring that even Bill O’Reilly has called her out on it. Last week, however, Tantaros unexpectedly knocked Trump on Twitter, lumping his corrosive behavior in with that of President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Ted Cruz, and declared that the United States “has no good options” in leaders. Since then, her Twitter feed has been virtually empty of both praise for Trump and condemnations of GOP “elites” — a term she had been using quite regularly to define Trump critics....

Breitbart columnist John Nolte, who has garnered a lot attention this election cycle with his aggressive defenses of Trump, is suddenly conflicted as well. You might recall that Nolte made waves back in December when he proudly declared that Trump’s often-derided assertion that he watched “thousands” of Muslims in New Jersey celebrate the 9/11 attacks on TV had been “100% vindicated.” Nolte’s “proof” came in the form of a local news report describing an eye-witness account of less than a dozen Muslim celebrators — who Trump couldn’t possibly have seen on TV because they weren’t captured on camera. Still, Nolte felt it appropriate to actually apologize to Trump for having doubted the candidate’s “thousands” claim. It was an embarrassing display, but fairly representative of Nolte’s accommodating coverage of Trump over the past several months. Remarkably, Nolte appears interested in putting those days behind him. Early Tuesday, Nolte criticized Trump’s temperament on Twitter — “If Trump had just a bit of self-control he’d already be the nominee” — adding: “He seems to enjoy playing with fire more than actually winning.” Three hours later, Nolte expanded on his suggested disappointment, tweeting, “Trump’s erratic moods make McCain look like the Sphinx. Been on fence between him & Cruz but am growing tired of waiting for him to GROW.”...

Controversial radio host and Trump aficionado, Michael Savage, who has looked past all of the candidate’s flaws for months, decided that he’s so upset over Trump’s possible link to the National Enquirer story on Ted Cruz’s alleged affairs, that he might just withdraw his support (Savage and Trump reconciled Monday in a fawning interview). Even the Drudge Report is now displaying headlines critical ofTrump, which is something we haven’t seen much of in quite a while....

What's so surprising about it? Everything Trump has done has been defendable and understandable. His latest escapades have been real headscratchers though.

Attacks on Cruz' wife.
Waffling on his claim to send 20-30k troops into Syria/Iraq
His latest wtf moment coming in his call to punish women for abortion.
A disturbing ignorance regarding how delegate allocation works when he claimed Cruz was "stealing" delegates in Louisiana.

You're operating under the assumption that Trump's supporters think he can do no wrong but I myself have been one of Trumps harshest and scathing critics. Despite this though, he's still the best of the bunch on the Republican side.

Yeah..sure. When gets destroyed in general you will have to come up with some crazy conspiracy because you won't be able to handle the truth.

But think how smug and self righteous they will be, basking in their moral certitude and superiority. Secretly, of course , it's what they want. The last thing they want to do is govern. Much more fun to sit on the sidelines and whine.

I have seen enough prison movies to know what happens when the hated outside guy with no friends on the inside drops the soap.

And Trump has let it slip from his hands and is about to get up close and personal.

how about this,do you thank that the voters will support the RNC's pick ,the RNC in my state (LOUISIANA) says mr trump needs to lern how the game in played,my vote is not a game .
well the RNC can kiss my vote good by,mr curly hogman and his like will elect hillary clinton, and the RNC will look like what they are RINO's ,the voters can eat cake it is all about the RNC.

run don run

Just wanna repeat something from the OP:

Donald Trump didn’t suddenly change in the past few days, weeks or months. He’s the same guy he always was, the same guy that most of us in the conservative movement and GOP have been staunchly opposing for the past year. He didn’t abruptly become reckless, obnoxious, ill-informed, erratic, hot-tempered, pathologically dishonest, narcissistic, crude and catastrophically unqualified for the presidency overnight. He’s always been that guy, and you denied it and ignored it and hand-waved it away and made excuses every step of the way because you were convinced that you were so much smarter than the rest of us....

“Our candidate is mental?” No Shinola, Sherlock, some conservatives said this from day one and all we got for it was the alt-Right vomiting forth endless vitriol and profanity and threats. Oh, what’s that? Trump’s Twitter behavior is “utterly stupid”, Newt? Thanks for noticing; six days ago you were telling the media there was absolutely nothing about Trump that worries you. Maybe your previous comparison of Trump to Reagan was frankly, fundamentally, profoundly wrong from A to Z. “Trump only cares about Trump”? Gee, thank you, turncoat former insider, for this shocking bit of secret intelligence. News flash, some of us didn’t need to work for Trump for several months to figure that out. We saw it, we said it, and you called us liars for saying it....

Technically we’re supposed to welcome previous Trump fans-turned-foes with open arms. But barring some miraculous comeback by Ted Cruz, the Trump campaign will have cost the Republican Party the presidency after eight years of Obama, and perhaps the Senate and even the House – and Scalia’s replacement on the Court as well. Years of effort spent attempting to dispel the accusations of inherent Republican misogyny, xenophobia, hypocrisy, ignorance and blind rage have been undone by Trump’s campaign. And every Trump advocate in front of a camera had a hand in this. We’re not just gonna hug it out.

in all seriousness where are hillary and bernie going to get the money to pay for their giveaways,
Free Medicare for all Americans; cost: $15 trillion over ten years.
An increase in Social Security payments; cost: $1.2 trillion.
Guaranteed family leave costs $319 billion.
Tuition free schools; cost: $750 billion.
Rebuilding the nation's infrastructure costs one trillion dollars.
Preventing private companies from cutting pensions costs $29 billion.

nothing like a liberal's train of thought ,who will pay for this,i will tell you who will pay ,the 45% of working AMERICANS will pay, nothing like a tax and spend liberal socialist democrat.

Good, because we're all tired of your talk and absolute lack of follow through. It's because of the milquetoast jackanapes you push on us with all your might that we are in this situation as a nation to begin with. The do nothing but spoil, so-called "conservative movement", can sink into the quagmire. Both parties have become parodies of when they were actual parties and that has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump.

This election has also caused me to take a step back from the GOP and I do give Trump a lot of credit for that. In fact, I think his campaign has been good for showing that politics no longer has to be about uber PC hand wringing. At the same time, I half think he's essentially a Poe trying to make GOP voters look stupid and doing a bang up job.
