Dem Debate 2/11/16

Both were brown nosing certain demographics, and it isn't becoming. Race pimps, both of them. Had they any cayones...of course Hillary has some only when it counts...they would appeal to justice instead.

I'm checking in pretty regularly.

Right now I'm getting a good chuckle out of both Sanders and Clinton on race and the justice system. Sanders is going to force local PD's to meet the racial demographics of their community and Hillary is going to sue PD's into submission. Both of them are blaming "systemic racism" for all the problems and Sanders has gone so far as to imply that Wall St INTENTIONALLY targeted blacks and latinos.

As an aside, the way Hillary is dressed she looks like a banana.

That dress, along with that pasty white makeup, made her look more like a corpse - it was unnerving.

Heh! There seems to be some concern that the DNC manipulated the crowd. I'm hearing that the Wisconsin Democrat Party only offered tickets to donors and that the University only offered 25 tickets to students via lottery.

There is no question but that the crowd was solidly behind Hillary. I could tell that much just from watching. But if they really rigged the audience that's kind of sleazy.

Then again, as someone else was saying on a different thread yesterday, there are rules and if you're going to play you have to play by the rules....even if the rule is "Hillary wins no matter what."

Same thing Trump complained about in the last debate. Only donors were there and since he doesn't take money from them he wasn't represented in the audience.

Anyone really watching it?

Nope. I haven't watched any of the Hillary-Bernie spectacles yet. Not sure I care. I doubt I'd vote for either.

Just because I won't vote for either of them doesn't mean I don't want to know what they're proposing. Their answers, for example, to the question about reducing government were quite revealing. It was obvious that the concept was totally foreign to both of them. Hillary speculated that Sanders plans would expand government by 40% but her argument against it was only that such a prospect was unlikely to be politically viable. Of course Sanders came back at her and said something to the effect of "We've got to try anyway".

Oh, I'm definitely reading about what they said, and where those comments could lead. I didn't say I am ignoring the Dems altogether. I just haven't had the stomach to watch either the wild-eyed socialist or the chronic liar and sex-offender enabler.

I didn't watch. Every time Hillary gets shrill I lose another piece of china, the dogs go hide somewhere, and the milk sours in the refrigerator.

A horrible day for Hillary as more investigations surface about her foundation.

And Bernie let it pass.

Why?

Integrity? He is keeping this about the issues, which is right where it should be.

Or maybe he wants to drop that hammer later when it's too late for Biden or Warren.

Bernie has a strange thing about falling on his sword for Hillary. I thought once they were debating one another, he would take off the kid gloves and stop coming to her rescue, maybe hardline her with obvious things like this...but evidently he's more committed to the Democrats than his own "path for the country". Too bad. Disappointing.

If HRC wins the nomination, Burnie's pouters stay home as in 2010 and 2014. If Burn wins it, the GOP destroys him as a Socialist since he's too chicken**** to get out in front of who he is now. Either way, Trump is the next POTUS .

have you awakened from your dream/nightmare yet?

the prospect of trump being elected president will have people leaving their death beds to vote in his opposition

he's taking the high road

but what about the those panelists posing as journalists. where was the obvious question about the new revelations concerning the email and government security breaches, bitches

posting a bit proudly about your self-acknowledged ignorance
let me guess: trump supporter

it's speculation right now

hope the facts/results emerge in time to deny hillary the nod

I don't think so. Kasich maybe. Paul would probably have been more cup of coffee, but he's gone. Cruz is worse than Hillary or Bernie. Rubio has managed to turn me off with his "Obama is destroying America" rhetoric.

I guess, I just find the Democrats and Republicans both kind of annoying these days. I'm in it for the show now, and I hope the two parties get blown up by their insurgent candidates and a true Centrist Party rises from the ashes.

How is he handling the questions well? He looks insane! His ramblings are without any clear thought process.
Can you give us an example? To me, these look like the adults in the room -- talking politely with knowledge about actual facts and substance. I compare these debates to the GOP debates of insults and crazy talk (i.e. carpet bombing; waterboarding being the least Trump would do; killing terrorist's families; etc.)

Burnee fan boys and girls won't vote for HRC. We've both seen plenty of evidence of that here on DP.

We do know progs and libs will be the first to whine and complain in 2017 after the GOP POTUS nominates Supreme Court Justices, as they did with a GOP House in 2010 and a GOP Senate in 2014, all while not voting mind you.

This DEM Convention will remind you of the worst of 1968 and 1972.

In the meantime, feel the Burn of the unpledged PLEOs .

He wants to arbitrarily release thousands of criminals...is that enough for you?

That is a stupid idea, even more stupid than Obama commuting the sentences of ex-cons in jail for possessing firearms and then saying we need to pass gun control legislation to make sure these people don't have access to guns. All we need is our cities flooded with lifetime criminals.
