RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - Nevada Senate - Heck vs. Cortez Masto

What is unusual is that Gravis, which always favors Republicans in their polls, gives the Democrat a 7 point lead, when the polling averages are much closer. What is going on here? Are they trying to get more voters out there to vote for Joe Heck? Anyways, I call this one an outlier. This seat is going to be a difficult one for the Dems to keep. It can be done, but IMHO it's going to be a bit uphill for them. I also call the NBC poll an outlier. It's much closer than that, although I do give Heck a slight advantage, which could be erased by the enormous numbers of Latinos, who are voting in record numbers.

Ignore Gravis. Flip a coin on this one.

I actually haven't been following the polls in Nevada but I have been following the commercials. I'm indifferent on the race but I don't like Masto's commercials. It's all "Joe Heck will Force women to undergo vaginal mutilations: Joe Heck will rape you and prevent you from aborting the rape-baby: Joe Heck when will he stop beating his wife?" women's issues women's issues, women's issue etc. Nothing about what Cortez actually has to offer the people of Nevada and nothing about what her plans are. It's nothing but "Joe Heck burns women to death" ETC. It makes me think Cortez is an empty suit. Joe Heck meanwhile is sticking to the typical Republican talking points: He's a veteran, and veterans are deific beings who can do no wrong. But at least there's some substance in there. So if I had to vote I'd vote for Heck.

I have been campaigning at an early voting site in NV every day for the last week. Am in district 3 (Joe Heck's current congressional district). The pro-Hillary turn out has seemed unusually high (this is normally a fair fight district). Wouldn't surprise me if Heck is a casualty of the backlash Trump is receiving in this state for not coming out against Yucca Mountain. Masto is Reid's chosen successor to carry on the fight against Yucca Mountain, afterall.
