Not too fast Liberals

LMFAO... Whipsnade hardly made anything worth noting... and only took pathetic pot shot sniping comments about my post's style, without considering the content... I haven't decided if it's even worth responding to... and I'm still considering that on another couple posts where I've already thoroughly trashed his arguments...

Regarding seeing you in the mid-term elections... That's exactly where I expect to see yet another backlash against liberal principles... That's nothing to do with Republicans... That's where the moderates, centrists, and independents are going to gain ground that was lost during this mainstream liberal media popularity contest... Where people like Scott Brown will stand out...

Only you're corrupt mind assumes anything that's against the far left is considered Republican... corrupted by too much exposure to partisan politics... get over it already...

On the contrary. Whipsnade treated your post with all the respect it deserved.

As for my "corrupt mind" - yup, I plead guilty if the signs of a corrupt mind are a deep love of this nation and the American people and wanting the best for both.

Nope... the corrupt mind are a sign of deep seeded belief that the only way we can go is right right or left and you side left... when 70% of Americans are actually in the middle...

Also, his post was weak and that you give it weight shows the weakness in your argument as well...

*That paragraph didn’t address the question of haymarkets post
it actually did, Im sorry you can't figure it out...

Refuting haymarket making it seem like the Dems had some dominant stance in presidential elections by showing that it's actually quite even, slightly leaning in the Republicans favor at this point is relevant and accurate... You've done nothing to refute that...

However, to the point... Bush won elections in 2004 and 2000 with voter turnout at 56.3% and 50.4%... Clinton won in 96 and 92 with voter turnout of 49 and 55.2%... No correlation between voter turnout and the party selection...

There are other things which effect voter turnout... like closeness of the election... Clinton was comfortably ahead in all polls, so voter turnout was down...

Nor did this paragraph address anything that was in the post that you quoted.
that one did as well... same point as the first paragraph... try harder next time...

also great to see how you think the post is graded paragraph by paragraph, rather than addressing the three part discussion which was clearly outlined... analysis well done there...

Nor this paragraph.:dito:
it most certainly did if you can't see it, perhaps you should take off the blinders...

His post was a partisan attack at my comments as if I was making them from the standpoint of a Republican Party vs Democrat Party pissing contest... which I wasn't...

I made my comments from the standpoint of an independent centrist, who is sick of the partisan bickering back and forth, where this he said she said BS goes back and forth with no end...

Who ask you anything about the next election?
First off... who asked you anything about anything?

Funny you commenting on my response as if you were to judge it...

im sorry, are we only to discuss the elections Democrats have won? The comment was "you" [meaning Republicans] can only win elections in low voter turnout... my statement was Republicans are likely to win the next election regardless of turnout... just by the swing back and forth of party control... That's a heavily valid point to make... It's clear from your response you had nothing to refute it as well...

Do you ever stay on topic?
Do you even know what the subject is?

It was the lack of support for conservative principles and the process of winning elections in general...

He accused me of having a point of view that I don't...

I was pointing out that my stake in the election process would only work if ignorant voters opinions were no longer valued as heavily as intelligent ones, and if people throw off these ridiculous binds of partisan politics and stop going along with the Republican vs Democrat nonsense, and start coming up with some realistic middle ground solutions outside of the box which address the real needs of this nation and can be agreed upon by most and carried out to fruition...

He thinks I want Republicans to have complete control of the political process... That's hardly my goal... and I pointed that out...

Who gives a **** about Kerry?
Id say the millions of people who voted for him to be president, the hundreds of thousand who keep voting him in as a Senator, and the numerous people who have regularly suggested he replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State... but I guess that's no one... and yeah, you might be right John Kerry has nothing to do with a presidential election discussion... Thanks for setting me straight...

Try and focus on the post that you quoted.
LMFAO... I can focus on a number of things at once... try to keep up...

Also, IDK where you think that you're tied to respond only to a quoted comment... the post you quote is only a launching point of the post... you can address anything you want in continuance of a further discussion... This isn't some pot shot contest where I can only say what goes against his post... I can add relevant points that havent been addressed yet... I know it's something you might have trouble doing, but it's something I excel at... bringing relevant stuff that hasn't been brought up prior to it... Just because you're still working on bringing up relevant points to the things already being discussed doesn't mean I have to be handcuffed by the same handicap you are...

WTF...already on mid-terms?
WTF do you mean already onto mid-terms... First off, they are the next elections to be held, are they not? Also, that was what his response was towards... my comment about the mid-term elections... Yes we are already onto mid-terms... as people are also onto discussing 2016 presidential election candidates... Wake up... this is how the world works... It's not pay attention to what happened yesterday on Jon Stewart's Daily Show that's what's important... It's what lays ahead in the immediate and not-so distant future that we have to be preparing for... (Since our flawed system doesn't lend itself well to distant future planning)

Oh thanks... I couldn't see what he posted... I only quoted it already...

I'm sorry that you don't like that I don't find "high turnout" elections to be impressive... I don't have much faith or respected value for the common idiot's opinion on what's right for the government to do... when most of them can't find their own state on a map... The general populace of this country is unfortunately too ignorant to even know what's right for them... and completely unaware of their own political process, and the effects of policy on their lives...

I don't think we should be denying anyone the right to vote... I just think the weight of a popular vote is kind of meaningless.. and equates to the blind leading the blind...

So you may think it's telling that Democrats win higher turnout elections... well... what's that telling of?

I prefer the results of the lower turnout elections...

Our founding father's did as well... since only property holders could vote, the electoral college selected electors for the president, which in most states at the time was not done by popular vote, but rather the legislation of the states.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....
Ahh... in otherwords you could've just quoted "I got nothing"

I'm sorry... did you have a point? Or was this just like a Black Theatre, where people yell out stuff while watching the movie?

In otherwords... did you counter any points? Nope...

Was anything I said innaccurate? Nope...

Did anything I say or point out lack relevance? Nope...

I'm sorry if your feeble mind can't keep up with an in debt discussion that wouldn't fit on twitter... but I'm perfectly comfortable discussing every nuance of the electoral and political processes of the United States... and will continue to do so...

Maybe you should read a little closer, you might learn a thing or two...

My FEEBLE MIND is quite clear to the fact that you feel that throwing a block of rambling, of topic, text is somehow a debate tactic.

For instance, you stated this, in a relatively short, and gratefully graph free post, but sadly,:( it was loaded down with eight random links, that in a bipolar moment you felt that it would lend credence to your lameass post.

Here is what you posted.

“I don't have much faith or respected value for the common idiot's opinion on what's right for the government to do“

That begs the question of ...who the **** ask your opinion on “ faith or respected value for the common idiot's opinion on what's right for the government to do “?

are your opinion on “ The general populace of this country is unfortunately too ignorant “

are your opinion on “I just think the weight of a popular vote is kind of meaningless. “

are your opinion on our founding fathers. “Our founding father's did as well... since only property holders could vote, ”

Get back to me when you have something cognizant to post are when the meds kick in.:2wave:

Must be a really hard month for you having to make a personal attack on me and pretend that it is otherwise.

I'm not pretending a thing... It's not a personal attack, though I never responded either way about that, so I don't know where you're making that up from... My comments that your mind has been corrupted by the two-party system is an honest assessment from your continued insistence on suggesting anything that disagrees with the liberal mindset must be conservative or Republican... If that's your feelings than your mind has been corrupted... The Liberal mindset is counter to the center... to those of us who really represent the majority of Americans... that aren't to one of the many polar opposites...

Are? Did you mean "Arrrr"? Were you impersonating a pirate there? Or did you mean "or"... I'm just curious which of us are in the right mindset here, and which of us needs to have our meds kick in...

It would be nice of you to attempt to explain how stating "this, in a relatively short, and gratefully graph free post, but sadly, it was loaded down with eight random links, that in a bipolar moment you felt that it would lend credence to your lameass post." makes sense in any way... Or how any of that would qualify as a "bi-polar moment"... something it's starting to seem you are quite familiar with...

While we are on the horrible grammatical inaccuracies that you're quite "cognizant" of... What’s a rambling, of topic, text? BTW, you may also want to check the use of "cognizant" that's also comical...

Im definitely LMFAO @ the part about my post being "loaded down with 8 random links"...

I know it was “loaded” (that small section's worth anyway) with facts which prove my point, and sources which back them up -- something you’ve yet to accomplish. Note how all the links I showed pointed to the general public performing horribly on tests about basic civic aptitude tests -- test about knowing who the Vice President is, the Speaker of the House is, the location of where our country is on a map, the name of the three different branches of our federal government, etc. where in many categories less than half of the general public were able to come up with the correct response... That certainly lends credence to the fact that the popular vote in this country means very little... and in full of relevance in a discussion of the popular vote in determining the policies of our government, or the value of a high voter turnout election…

Psst… A post where you question the relevance of including, the knowledge and aptitude of the general public, the words and established documents of our founding fathers in framing this country, etc. in a discussion about the voting practices we have in this country begs the question…

What relevance does your opinion have? None…

In post #552 you answered haymarkets one sentence post that said

“Its rather sad that the only way you can win many elections is in low turnout years. That is rather revealing in an of itself. “

this with a rambling, 14 paragraph post that informed us in paragraph two that you’re not a math major.

In paragraph three you set aside your kool-aid long enough to peer into the tea leaves and make a prediction that “*the liberal minds are all tooting their own horns right now “

In paragraph four you indorsed the windvane (mittens) with this glowing sentence “a brilliant leader, who tosses the political BS aside to accomplish real change, tidy up the finances, and reform the inefficient programs.“

paragraph five you clue is in on the following secret “In the next election I'm not going to vote for the next Republican candidate because he is a Republican... if the Republicans want my vote, they need to nominate the right candidate... otherwise I will return to voting independent or third party “

paragraph six a light bulb??goes on.”70% of Americans are moderate “

paragraph seven you get out you crystal ball and peer into the past :shock:to inform us that “John Kerry would've been president if it wasn't for 10-15% of the people who identify as Republicans who saw Kerry's statements like Global Warming is the #1 issue to deal with. “

paragraph eight. Hmmm almost a gognazetn moment but still not on topic...left you a weird to spill check for me.:2wave:

Paragraph nine paragraphs nine starts out with the word lastly in it yet looking hopefully down the page reveals...five more paragraphs. Sad Panda :(

Paragraph ten starts with a a “Whereas, “ and ends with a “That's more impressive... “.Minds starting to go numb.Kinda like listing to Mitch McConnell talk.

Paragraph eleven he clues in on Tip Oneal’s thoughts with this tidbit “As Tip ONeil said, all politics is local... “ and follows up with homilies from FDR,Kennedy and Reagan.

Paragraph twelve we get some insights on “Terri Schiavo crap “ and “Under Bush the right to lifers were going crazy “

Paragraph thirteen “public posturing about bi-partisanship, but steadfast positions on both sides which aren't changing... “

Finally paragraph fourteen.:rock “where those Independent and moderate people who were thrown out of office by the ignorant and uninformed voters stand a chance to get in their and offer real solutions which appeal to all sides. “

SOOooo...don’t you think that you coulda answered that one sentience post from haymarket with something just a bit more brief? Why eht wall of text?

You have never met me. But you in your infinite arrogance have the temerity to attack me and pretend you can analyze my mind simply because I am not a True Believer who prostrates himself before the same altar and worships the same gods as you do. Amazing!!!!!

Just stick to the issues at hand instead of pretending you can analyze someones mind based on your own self imposed ideology. Its offensive and insulting and adds nothing to debate.

LMFAO... "prostrates himself before the same altar"... TFF...

I said your mind has been corrupted by the left-right paradigm because you infered when I said Im displeased that the election was a status quo election (if not a further polarization election with the ousting of some moderates and independents) meant that I was pissed Republicans weren't elected... While you're trying to celebrate it as if the left won... I said no one won, that nothing changed the dynamics in Washington, and that I want that to change... see you in the mid-terms... Yet, youre still insisting this is so Republican vs Democrat struggle... When I'm not a Republican, I'm not a heavy conservative, and I've never seen you identify yourself as a Democrat...

So when you're unable to separate yourself from the Us vs Them argument, the Republicans vs Democrats argument... then yes, your mind IS corrupted... that's not any psycho analytical BS... it's something you've proven with your responses...

This post does nothing to disprove that... it actually further re-inforces it... as you're on your soap box as if I'm upset that you don't "worship the same gods" as I do... which truly adds nothing to the debate...

Wow... really? Too much...

That is the issue at hand... your inability to see things for what they are...

We had the election... What's changed? Is Washington less partisan? Do we have a huge amount of cooperation going on? Do Republicans seem to be rolling over for Democrats? Do we have anything different than we had before... Nope... Has Obama changed Washington... Nope... As the OP was dealing with, this is not some runaway election where all things are going left... this is an election where a few counties saw extremely high percentages of voting for the president... but that the remainder of the country voted against him... and will continue to dig their heels in and resist him... Like the guy who is having his Romney tattoo removed because he feels his concession speech was too conciliatory... Brace yourself for at least 2 more years which have been like the 2 prior...

LMFAO... the irony...

Thanks for the play-by-play of my old post... You realize you could've just answered my post with 1 sentence... "Do you want to see my Howard Cosell impression?" I would've said "No"... and we'd be done here...

Seriously, what have you added to this discussion, except a wall of poorly written text, with bold emphasis of points that aren't worth noting... Like the paragraph #... or saying what I said in post 552, which has yet to be reached in this thread... ?

Hey look... what do you know... We are done here!

No... what you've "shown/exposed" is that you're incapable of rational conversation, have a short attention span, and lack basic reading comprehension skills... Oh, that and you have nothing to add to this debate... except your bad judging skills... Keep up the good work...

in post #518,in answer to an assertion made by haymarket (I’m paraphrasing) GOP govs failed to deliver for Romney, and BO won by ten points.

SOOoo
...lets take a peek into the eight and a half paragraph wall of text that answered haymarkets post.Again, unlike you,i'm paraphrasing for brevity.

We learned that states have gone Blue in the elections in 92, 96, 00, 04, 08, 12. We also learned ,that the volatile and not able to be relied upon Gov. Christie shot himself in the foot for praising BO.

Not only that, he coulda helped turn PA.red if ONLY he woulda,in the aftermath of hurricane Sandy,“campaigned in the Camden/Philadelphia areasare“for Romney. Not helping HIS OWN STATE!! in the aftermath's of a hurricane!! and campaign for ROMNEY?WTF?

Then you opined that Pennsylvania,s “Governor Corbett“woulda been a better choice for the VP slot than little Eddy Munster. We also learned that Virginia, Ohio,WI, MI, OH, PA, NJ VA and IN, have-are you ready for this?REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS.:shock:AND,that the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho, and North Dakota...ARE RIGHT TO WORK STATES!!.And most of their governor's have “overly hairy arms”.:lamo

That,s just one ofyouroverly lameass post.Gotta whole lot more if you want them.
