it actually did, Im sorry you can't figure it out...
Refuting haymarket making it seem like the Dems had some dominant stance in presidential elections by showing that it's actually quite even, slightly leaning in the Republicans favor at this point is relevant and accurate... You've done nothing to refute that...
However, to the point... Bush won elections in 2004 and 2000 with voter turnout at 56.3% and 50.4%... Clinton won in 96 and 92 with voter turnout of 49 and 55.2%... No correlation between voter turnout and the party selection...
There are other things which effect voter turnout... like closeness of the election... Clinton was comfortably ahead in all polls, so voter turnout was down...
that one did as well... same point as the first paragraph... try harder next time...
also great to see how you think the post is graded paragraph by paragraph, rather than addressing the three part discussion which was clearly outlined... analysis well done there...
it most certainly did if you can't see it, perhaps you should take off the blinders...
His post was a partisan attack at my comments as if I was making them from the standpoint of a Republican Party vs Democrat Party pissing contest... which I wasn't...
I made my comments from the standpoint of an independent centrist, who is sick of the partisan bickering back and forth, where this he said she said BS goes back and forth with no end...
First off... who asked you anything about anything?
Funny you commenting on my response as if you were to judge it...
im sorry, are we only to discuss the elections Democrats have won? The comment was "you" [meaning Republicans] can only win elections in low voter turnout... my statement was Republicans are likely to win the next election regardless of turnout... just by the swing back and forth of party control... That's a heavily valid point to make... It's clear from your response you had nothing to refute it as well...
Do you even know what the subject is?
It was the lack of support for conservative principles and the process of winning elections in general...
He accused me of having a point of view that I don't...
I was pointing out that my stake in the election process would only work if ignorant voters opinions were no longer valued as heavily as intelligent ones, and if people throw off these ridiculous binds of partisan politics and stop going along with the Republican vs Democrat nonsense, and start coming up with some realistic middle ground solutions outside of the box which address the real needs of this nation and can be agreed upon by most and carried out to fruition...
He thinks I want Republicans to have complete control of the political process... That's hardly my goal... and I pointed that out...
Id say the millions of people who voted for him to be president, the hundreds of thousand who keep voting him in as a Senator, and the numerous people who have regularly suggested he replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State... but I guess that's no one... and yeah, you might be right John Kerry has nothing to do with a presidential election discussion... Thanks for setting me straight...
LMFAO... I can focus on a number of things at once... try to keep up...
Also, IDK where you think that you're tied to respond only to a quoted comment... the post you quote is only a launching point of the post... you can address anything you want in continuance of a further discussion... This isn't some pot shot contest where I can only say what goes against his post... I can add relevant points that havent been addressed yet... I know it's something you might have trouble doing, but it's something I excel at... bringing relevant stuff that hasn't been brought up prior to it... Just because you're still working on bringing up relevant points to the things already being discussed doesn't mean I have to be handcuffed by the same handicap you are...
WTF do you mean already onto mid-terms... First off, they are the next elections to be held, are they not? Also, that was what his response was towards... my comment about the mid-term elections... Yes we are already onto mid-terms... as people are also onto discussing 2016 presidential election candidates... Wake up... this is how the world works... It's not pay attention to what happened yesterday on Jon Stewart's Daily Show that's what's important... It's what lays ahead in the immediate and not-so distant future that we have to be preparing for... (Since our flawed system doesn't lend itself well to distant future planning)
Oh thanks... I couldn't see what he posted... I only quoted it already...
I'm sorry that you don't like that I don't find "high turnout" elections to be impressive... I don't have much faith or respected value for the common idiot's opinion on what's right for the government to do... when most of them can't find their own state on a map... The general populace of this country is unfortunately too ignorant to even know what's right for them... and completely unaware of their own political process, and the effects of policy on their lives...
I don't think we should be denying anyone the right to vote... I just think the weight of a popular vote is kind of meaningless.. and equates to the blind leading the blind...

So you may think it's telling that Democrats win higher turnout elections... well... what's that telling of?
I prefer the results of the lower turnout elections...
Our founding father's did as well... since only property holders could vote, the electoral college selected electors for the president, which in most states at the time was not done by popular vote, but rather the legislation of the states.
Ahh... in otherwords you could've just quoted "I got nothing"
I'm sorry... did you have a point? Or was this just like a Black Theatre, where people yell out stuff while watching the movie?
In otherwords... did you counter any points? Nope...
Was anything I said innaccurate? Nope...
Did anything I say or point out lack relevance? Nope...
I'm sorry if your feeble mind can't keep up with an in debt discussion that wouldn't fit on twitter... but I'm perfectly comfortable discussing every nuance of the electoral and political processes of the United States... and will continue to do so...
Maybe you should read a little closer, you might learn a thing or two...
