All we want is, you know, some balance on the airwaves, that's all. Rush is not only on the air, but seems to be fairly popular. So popular that he was able to withstand a number of his sponsors pulling their advertising money from his show and still be on the air. Is he gone in your world? That would be signs of a detachment from reality and a complete delusion. It is one thing to be predicting doom and gloom in the future, but you seem to be living in some sort of alternate reality and that is not healthy. They do have treatments for this sort of thing, and many outpatient programs that don't involve the booby hatch. Perhaps the right medication could bring you back to reality so you could argue against obama in the real world. there are reasons to not like him, but these are just delusions.

That is not going to happen with the republican controlled house. Obama is reliant on congress to pass the bills before he can sign them into law. I think you are overreacting a whole lot. As amusing as the meltdown is, you are loosing a grip on reality. I know you are dissapointed, and i hope this is just a tantrum that will go away, but if it continues you really should consider some therapy or something. Just for the fact it is not fun to live for long periods in this sort of fear and delusional misery. It is just not that bad.

You're lying by saying it would remove Rush and other persona's from the airwaves. That is a lie. Or blatant ignorance of what the Fairness Doctrine is/was. If you did not know, the FD existed for about 40 years and the country didn't die, implode or any other such crap:

That's not how most Liberals on forums are refering to the concept of the Fairness Doctrine. Most refer to it as a means to remove Rush from the air. Just because it was implemented one way years ago, doesn't mean it needs to be done just that way again, does it?


You're right, you Liberals won, and all I'm trying to do is make sure that you get every possible thing you want for the next four years.

I seem to remember reading about how many Liberals are calling to have a equal number of Muslim Mosques as there are Christian churches in all cities and towns...


Oh, and our laws need to be tested for Sharia compliance before being voted on, I know I saw that suggested by a Democratic Congresswoman.

No I don't remember the Fairness Doctrine being used in such a manner at all - but then I don't listen to Rush or Glenn or Sean or Mark or any of the other babblers on right wing radio who make such claims.

What I do know is that revocation of the Fairness Doctrine and changes in media ownership monopoly rules have allowed a few companies to control much of America's broadcast media. 6 Corporations Control 90% Of The Media In America

The Fairness Doctrine was never used to "pull Rush Limbaugh and all the other right wing nut jobs from the public airways!" Instead it required broadcasters to allow equal time on air for opposing viewpoints. Once the Fairness Doctrine was removed from the rules, conservative station owners no longer had to provide air time to viewpoints they didn't like.

As already noted, votes aren't distributed by the sq mile. In the real world more voted for Dems than Reps in House races . . . but

I read somewhere that several places in VA had problems with machines that did not put the Presidential race up and people cast their ballots expecting it to be done separate only to then find out they would not get to vote for POTUS because they had cast their ballot in the other races. I think there have been enough complaints in enough places that we need to scrap the touchscreen machines in every state.

You do know that people vote in elections, not real estate. Most of that red on the map is empty real estate.

Now this is just sad. I'd like to say the same thing every time the Colts win a football game, but I know it's not true. Get used to the fact that America is becoming more liberal. The younger generations support liberal ideas, and they're the ones coming up to vote, while the older, more conservative voters are passing. Give it another 20-25 years, and most of America will be predominantly liberal. Face it, conservatism is dying out, it might take awhile, but it will no longer be the force it once was. Progress is winning out. Fearing your party is losing, thereby fearing that the American people are "losing" (which I don't believe being liberal is a losing idea), is one thing, but using whatever lies and propaganda that you can to try to make the opposing side of your team seem like liars and cheats, that's just pathetic.
