What if Obama were Republican and Romney were Democratic

As I read all the racist coments on both sides, I can't help but wonder what the presidential race outcome would have been if the roles were reversed? Romney where the incumbent and Democratic and Obama where the challenger and Republican?

My guess is you won't get an honest answer and the Republicans win!

And before anyone slings any mud back my way I'm a white mail and I voted for Obama in 2008 because I thought he would have an impact, I changed my mind in 2012 and voted for Romney.
 
It'd be no different than if Colin Powell had won the Republican nomination in 1996. White self-pity is weakness.

Meh, if he were a republican, everything else unchanged, the large majority of party types would support him. Some dems would be calling him names like "oreo" and such. And some of the republicans would insult him for not being "republican" enough.

But it's hard to call these sort of alternate history questions.

romney would have probably won, the incumbent gains a few % on average by default looking at historical trends, that would have been enough to push him over the edge based on the numbers we saw when all was counted up.

I would not care. If Obama flip flopped like Romeny did or visa versa I would have voted against him

French people would learn to jump really high to catch them to make frog legs, then they would join the NBA, infiltrate American society, and surrender the US to Denmark, which would then become a world superpower and start a nuclear war with India.

I suppose it would mean I wouldn't need to change parties like I mostly did in order to vote for Romney.
