Glenn Beck Totally Loses It: Buy Farmland & Guns

I kinda expect that his next week’s sponsorship space has been picked up by a real estate developer selling vacation cottages in Tennessee. :D

Not unlike Beck’s past shilling for shady online gold coin retailers.

Huh? How is a vacation cottage farmland?

So Glenn Beck has seemed to gone of his rocker again when talking about Obama. Complains that Obama is "dividing America" while at the same time telling people from the East Coast to "get out of there.. and surround yourself with like minded individuals". Also everyone needs to buy guns and farmland. Why? Who knows? Supposedly because "Obama will regulate everything".

What a nut case.

No - no no . . . no.

Postings of Glen Beckery are not allowed per forum rules SS 4.53 - the Beck Clause.

Let me remind you where your food comes from, hint: it's not the grocery store. And those who have the place to grow their own will weather any future much better than your typical lockstep city dweller.

Leave that to real farmers, boy. Not to paranoid tea partiers with guns frightened by black presidents. No modern farmer doesn't have a degree in agronomy. It's a science not a refuge from modernity by rich millionaires with talk shows.

It would be like Green Acres!

So Glenn Beck has seemed to gone of his rocker again...
When you say it like that, it sounds as though he has recently had a period where he was not off of his rocker.

Beck is the new chief spokesman for conservatism. His ruddy tear-stained face is the future of this doomed ideology.l
Your ideas are "out there".

that is why zombies only live in the cities, they don't need farm land...

Yeah, blame me that conservatives eat up Beck and millions of tea baggers listen to him or buy his books.

Face it, your ideology is friggin' weird.

I think you're under informed.

A funny choice of words. I sort of feel for you: all the spokesmen of conservatism are freaks like Beck, Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh.

So I understand why you're forced to spin.

But tell us, who listens to Beck? You think it's San Francisco liberals?

Ridiculous!

True. However, I wouldn't just go off and buy farmland. It's a life commitment.
I have .41 acres with a lane along one side (access to flag lot behind mine and my 3 driveways), a 1600 sq. ft. shop, an 1850 sq. ft. main floor house, a 600 sq. ft. attached garage, 200 sq. ft. deck, a couple of porches, some sidewalks, and the 3 driveways, and that still leaves room for too much grass and trees and mowing and leaf raking, etc... but not enough land to raise food crops on....
Guess I better stock up on food now and water....

Going to the country, gonna eat me a lot of peaches!

Look, these aren’t going to be people that are going to be looking to do labor. ;) It is about a fantasy. So small acreage = farmland is viable sales pitch.

I don't think you understand the difference between the conservative market segment and conservative ideology.

thanks for the advice glenn and company, but i'll just keep going about my business. i'm pretty sure someone said the world was ending this december anyway, so why pull up and flee the city now? :lamo

Aside from the fact that the OP gave NO link to his quotation opening the post, or that he directed people to a highly partisan youtube, highly dishonest and edited portion of Beck's show. That's nothing new for the left. Can Beck be annoying? yes. Can all talk radio hosts be annoying at times? yes.

Who do you listen to?

I understand it is irrelevant. Limbaugh and the rest of the troops enforce ideological purity in the GOP. That's a fact with example after example. When they say something particularly outrageous, they fall back on the "entertainer" excuse, but not even the GOP believes that. If Limbaugh and the rest of the freaks attack a GOP politician, it generally means he's toast.

That's the dynamic which has been played out again and again in the primaries. I see no reason for it not to get worse.

I don't care what political lean you have, owning land is a very wise investment ...and so are guns.

Beck on Romney’s loss: ‘Man, sometimes God really sucks’ | The Raw Story

“Man, sometimes God really sucks,” the radio host lamented. “I got up yesterday at 3:00 in the morning and I knew. And I couldn’t sleep and I started to say my prayers and I got up and kneeled down by the edge of my bed and I knew that — or I suspected that my mind’s not God’s mind, and the peace and the comfort that he had given me and so many of my friends was not about an election.”
He added: “Just like those Christians that rolled up the Dead Sea Scrolls and put them in pots. I don’t know what happened to those Christians but they hid them. They hid them and they preserved them because it was important. The Bible was never wiped out, but the people who originally wrote the Bible were scattered.”
But in the weeks leading up to Tuesday’s election, Beck had repeatedly said that God was orchestrating Republican nominee’s path to the presidency.

Raw Story (Beck on Romney’s loss: ‘Man, sometimes God really sucks’ | The Raw Story)

Some people just need to dial back a bit and not overreact to every ****ing thing.

Do we really need to go into "my media darlings are better than your media darlings?"

Oh yeah, it take a lot of space.

Beck is an idiot, only slightly more than Limbaugh, tho......

Beck is far from being an idiot with a net worth of about $120 million

Limbaugh's worth is about 400 million
