Do with them as you will, but there are some toss up states looking to lose if they choose poorly.
 
"Defense Jobs" and "Military Jobs" are not the same thing.

And I thought you guys claimed the government can't create jobs!
 
Hmm, by "Obama's defense cuts" do they mean the sequester that Republicans shoved down Obama's throat in consequence of their playing chicken with the full faith and credit of the United States?

Not sure why they would care, since we all know that government jobs aren't real jobs.

But we really need to increase defense spending so we're prepared when Iranian troops invade.

damn, and after we converted to digital-only i bet the TVs won't work either, i hope the government kept all the analog transmitters or we might have to go outside for entertainment.
 
well, 1 war is over, the other one is winding down. The military has loads of high tech gadgets that save in manpower/expensive staff and there is a budgetary crisis. Everyone in the US should be economizing and so should the military (as long as it does not impede with the core functions of the US army or the safety of the US etc.).

I think it is acceptable to downsize the military somewhat in order for them to also contribute to budgetary balance in the future.
 
When I left DOD in 1988. Our office was closed permanently that was a defense budget cut not a military one. Our whole office was civilian.
