Europeans are one gambling lot and one result-fixing lot too which was a huge concern during the Olympics.

Large gamble. I wouldn't be too sure. FYI I made a bet with the same bookies on the 2010 UK General Election, it had made a party to win the East Belfast seat at 100/1, the bookies clearly had no clue about Northern Irish politics as that party was quite strong in that seat. Put £10 on it, got a £1000 back, as did a lot of people. They were cleaned out, idiots :p .
 
How would you know - or prove - that a bookie paid out bets? A bookie can say anything.

You would know when people whom bet Obama to win go to that particular bookies and get paid. That's how. Bookies are not secretive over here.
