Bruce Spreensteen sings for Obama in Wisconsin!!

You didn't expect Mr. "I care about the everyday people" to spend part of his own multi million dollar fortune, did you?

Meanwhile, back at the Shore, people are freezing and can't access drinking water.

I strongly suspect that putting an extra body on the plane did not cost the taxpayers anything. But by all means get out the partisan and ideological talons and rip into somebody for being a patriot. Meat Loaf made an ass of himself at the Romney rally in Defiance Ohio recently - NOT for taking a stand which he has a right to - but because his voice was shot and the did not know the damn words to AMERICA. Bruce can sing for any politician he wants to sing for.

And excuse him for not personally saving every amusement park ride in Jersey.

Who said Bruce can't sing for any politican he wants to? And what does that have to do with MeatLoaf?

By the way, are we talking about Bruce Springsteen in this thread? I never heard of a Bruce Spreensteen.

that was me venting. Mr. Loaf was simply the last singer I could recall doing the pop star thing for Romney and doing it rather badly. At least Bruce still is strong on the mic.

Who cares about MeatLoaf?

Back to topic. If Springsteen or "Spreensteen" cared about the "everyday person" as the OP says, he would have been helping the everyday people who he claims as his people who made him who he is. I guess it's where his priorities lie.

He just did the telethon Friday night on all the NBC stations. They raised a ton of dough to help those everyday people. There also was talk on the Sirius E Street channel that there will be more efforts to come and Springsteen will play a pivotal role both in organizing and in talent on stage.

Uhh communism and fascism are a huge difference.

Thats quite the combination. I would label him a corporatist-capitalist.

Based off what?

So bascially what your saying is "i believe he is a Marxist based off nothing no proof but i just believe deep down inside thats how he feels"

Authoritarian is still authoritarian any way you slice the cake.... I don't see how communism (socialism) is any different from fascism, especially considering "communism" is impossible to achieve without authoritarianism (which is fascism) I mean, it only takes fascism to set up "communism" and communism takes authoritarian measures which are fascist in nature.

Is Obama a literal Marxist? No, literally he is a socialist... Marx advocated for a "fair share" or "equality" communal economy... Under true communism the government is supposed to step down after the "revolution" - instead the community under a communist regime is ruled under fascism with an authoritarian hand via big government (which contradicts Marx intent).

Obama believes government or "big siss" is the solution to all of our problems - not free individuals. Obama believes free individuals are incapable of surviving without government assistance so he employs fascist and authoritarian tactics and policy on every free man or woman, however he has to work the system to achieve his goals.

Meatloaf is cool. Didn't catch his performance that was criticized, however.

Not everyone can be or should be in the food lines and on the front lines and as a first responder. Not just any ijit can just show up and help peeps.

You need to know what to do to help people or you just get in the way. What does a singer know about such things?

That's the most ridiculous argument I ever heard...that Springsteen isn't doing enough.

It's enough that he is campaigning AGAINST a man who is on public record to DITCH FEMA.

Singing at a political rally makes you a patriot? Springsteen was born in 1949 and sat out the Vietnam war. Then made millions of dollars singing about it. Cut me a break.

To some libertarians, it appears that anybody who believes in red stop lights and free public education is an authoritarian fascist.

No, libertarians believe in the Tenth Amendment... States have the right to self-legislate.

The federal government has ZERO right to regulate.

How much of his own personal money did he donate, did you hear?

Apparently the 1 percenters are patriots now. If they support Obama, of course.

Nothing but haters. Sitting on their asses doing nothing, hating on those who did something, criticizing them for not doing more, how pathetic.

Don't you love that train of thought?

If you're a big movie star or recording artist being rich is fine just as long as you're progressive, but if you're conservative you're an evil rich greedy 1%er...

Funny thing - those "evil rich conservatives" give way more to charity than those "progressive" actors or recording artists..

Progressives believe paying taxes is like giving to charity because the government will "save the day."

I would say Christie loves his music and maybe not so much the man and especially not his idiotic politics.

Idiotic politics? How about a different view on politics. I think that sounds better.

typos drive me crazy. I was a professional typist for most of my adult life!! Ahhhh.....I must be losing my mind.....ahhhhhh.....

What the hell is a "professional typist?"

I've heard of stenography.....
