Not the case, I have checked them. They are all wrong.
The election is so close because the nation is nearly equally divided on the direction it should go.

The answer is two-fold. The first reason is really not the economy, but some people believe it is because of the absolute hatred certain segments of society have for President Obama. What we are looking at are of course the plutocrats-the RP, the wall streeters, the bain capital type people, people who have lots of money to throw around for political purposes. They see Romney as the guy who will do their bidding because they believe him to be one of them.
Obama is only ahead by a thin margin. Will he have inspired enough people to vote for him? That is the key. Get your people out to vote. The RPs have the money and probably the discipline to get their people out to vote on election day. It remains to be seen if the Democrats can outdo the RPs in getting the vote out AND to overcome the voter suppression ploys as exhibited by the likes of Jon Husted of Ohio and Gov. Scott of Fla. both Republicans oddly enough. These guys should be charged with voter suppression crimes.
Thread: Why is the presidential election so close?
Propaganda masquerading as journalism. Caddell is so right, our press is a threat to our nation.
Had the press played this straight, even halfway straight, Obama would be at about 25%, and Romney would win 48 or 49 states.

Yes - the ONLY reason people don't identify with the Republican party platform and it's candidates is because of the media.
That's the reason. It has to be. Can't be anything else.
Can't be.
Ah, the most tired conservative excuse of all....
Fineman: 'Mainstream Media Party' is over - politics - Howard Fineman | NBC News
WASHINGTON - A political party is dying before our eyes ...I'm talking about the "mainstream media,"
...The AMMP, meanwhile, is regarded with ever growing suspicion by American voters, viewers and readers, who increasingly turn for information and analysis only to non-AMMP outlets that tend to reinforce the sectarian views of discrete slices of the electorate.
Still, the notion of a neutral, non-partisan mainstream press was, to me at least, worth holding onto. Now it's pretty much dead...
The seeds of its demise were sown with the best of intentions in the late 1960s...
The crusades of Vietnam and Watergate seemed like a good idea at the time, even a noble one, not only to the press but perhaps to a majority of Americans. The problem was that, once the AMMP declared its existence by taking sides, there was no going back. A party was born.
It was not accident that the birth coincided with an identity crisis in the Democratic Party. The ideological energy of the New Deal had faded; Vietnam and various social revolutions of the ’60s were tearing it apart. Into the vacuum came the AMMP...
Republicans always have been less dependent on, or concerned about, the AMMP's role in their internal politics.

Nice rationalization, but from an outsider's point of view it's just cheating.

You think Mitt should continue to play "Mr. Play By The Rules" when the current President of the United States KNOWINGLY tells bald faced lies about Mitt? Romney's editorial suggesting GM et al go bankrupt using the bankruptcy laws AND receive assistance from the Federal Govt. is CONSTANTLY being used by Obama to tell a lie about Romney.
It stands to reason. After all, few non Romney supporters even understand why Obama is so objectionable to us.
I mean, if you doubt the role a biased media plays in alienating many voters to the Republican party, why don't you tell us all why we can't stand Obama.
Okay, time's up.
See? You couldn't do it because the media refuses to reveal Oba,ma's bad points and what four more years of him will do to America.
Last week, FOX News Channel was the number one ad-supported cable channel among total viewers and Households in both primetime and total day. It was the network's highest rated week in primetime since the 2008 Vice Presidential Debates (9/29/08-10/5/08).
FNC's Republican National Convention coverage, America's Election Headquarters, anchored by Bret Baier and Megan Kelly, was the number two primetime program last week in all of cable and broadcast. The only program which beat it was NBC's America's Got Talent.
For comparison, MSNBC tied for 17th in primetime and ranked 20th in total day, while CNN came in 24th in primetime and 27th in Total Day.
Get a grip - the media is NOT the reason why many people won't vote for a republican candidate.

What is the reason, just out of curiosity.
Considering all the polling shows a pretty even split, just wondering how you are going to dismiss half of the population.

Really? You have no idea why people might not identify or like the republican party?
You can't be that ignorant can you?
The title of this thread is a total unadulterated lie. The opening post has nothing to do with a discuss about why the election is close.
