Vote in Revenge?!

If anyone is to vote in revenge against someone it would be against Obama...

for trying to force his agenda down people's throats in the first 2 yrs in office... then he has done nothing but point fingers at Republicans since then...

How about revenge for the failed Hope and Change rhetoric?

How about revenge for not living up to the hype he sold?

How about revenge for not fixing the economy despite adding $5.6T in debt... raising it to $16T..

How about revenge...

I don't think revenge is going to work in the president's favor on election day...

Poor use of words to say the least. I think he was referring to Romney political ads that he found offensive. It should be interesting to see how his campaign explains (spins) it. And in response to the revenge comment, the Romney people want to go positive for the balance of the campaign. It should be interesting to see if they can stick to it. And, I would expect some new "Revenge" ads coming out shortly from the super pacs supporting Romney.

According to the news they are already out and were as early as last night. I think your summation is very accurate. the libs are denying he said it or passing it off, but he said it. I think this is what Maggie calls a gaff but it was not a good choice of words.

A bad tactic is saying what both sides want to hear....because it exposes you as a flip-flopper.

11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."

President Obama said that people should "vote in revenge!"

What the hell is that?! So much for his "Forward" slogan. Revenge is 100% negatively going backwards.

Besides, HE is the incumbent who had both houses of Congress when he took office, if a person is going to vote in revenge against the status quo, that is a revenge vote against Barack Obama.

LOL yeah it was odd hearing that from him, I think he's just passionate in the last few days before the election.

yeah because that 47% comment that they have played to death wasn't a misrepresentation. Regardless, "revenge" sounds like inflammatory Marxist language to me so nobody should be surprised--just disappointed that people are satisfied with his mediocrity.

you don't know a man by reading his facial expressions. Step back and cool off before you make generalizations about either candidate's personalities.

Sir I am as cool as an Eskimo in his Igloo', my generalizations - as you put it, are My opinion, that I am entiteled to, last COC i read".................. thanks, have a good day' :)

That is because he is on the opposing college team. Both Romney and Obama had smirks. No doubt , Biden was the worst at the debates. But not to see the smirks on both faces is just being partisan.

Partisan, yes,........... In a heartbeat; for Romney,
I do Not Like Obama,
However" what I saw on Romneys face, IMO_ was not a smirk, it was, patience with a forced smile, for an Im_mature Potus, who thinks his Smirk is a I gottcha" this time_ I'm Awake''

Does harping on a soundbite seem presidential to you? How about this makers and takers nonsense? An economic plan that's just a misinterpretation of Friedman's ideals? Using your tax money to wreak havoc overseas?

Don 't forget about spreading the wealth, Mr. Socialist. How's that working for the U.S. economy?

 I'll make this real easy for you: No socialist would ever re-distribute wealth upwards by bailing out corporations.

That's only because they've all left the country.

Most of the comments made by either candidate (outside of the debates) I haven't heard until someone posted about it on the forums here. Aside from campaign commercials, most of the voting public hasn't heard these comments either. I don't think it will sway who people are going to vote for, unless you can blast everything each candidate has said from a loudspeaker from every downtown street and post it on every major highway billboard.

I'm not glued to the TV like most of the people posting here, so I've only seen one or two campaign ads on TV from both candidates. The others I have watched on youtube when someone gripes about it. Personally, this would be more of a story if Obama suddenly said he was going to spend 2 trillion more dollars on the military, deny gays and lesbians equal rights, repeal the women's suffrage and repeal RvW. But that would be a flip flop for Obama. At least we expect that from Romney.

That's only because they've all left the country.

So you're arguing that socialists want to bail out corporations? Therefore the incumbent is a socialist? Let me give you a ticket to reality:

Socialists are fully against a vertically managed private sector being a major source of power. We would never give taxpayer money to that morally corrupt system.
It's clear that Obama's a corporatist blue dog, not a socialist.

Who should vote in "revenge" are 1+ million New Jerseyians now without electricity and without heat for over a week and with temperatures dropping below freezing - against Obama.

Thus, revenge is a dish best served cold would be literally true.

Another stupid, desperate lurch by the Romney campaign and its backers. Obama was responding to people in the crowd who booed when he mentioned Romney. All he was saying is, "don't boo -- go vote." Express your opinion in the voting booth. How awful.

Haha, your post makes Romney's case on the matter.

No, Adam, that wasn't all the President said. Here are his words: "No, no, no, Don't boo. Vote. Voting is the best revenge."

What revenge do those who vote for Obama need to take?
Is it just a coincidence that the day after this story was all over the internet, Obama urges his supporters to vote for revenge. Does Valerie Jarrett really pull his strings?

A rep from Jarrett office was in today. She gave us a finish line pep talk and then afterwards, heard her saying how Jarrett is very excited about a 2nd term agenda and a big part of that agenda is to punish everyone who opposed them during the first term and the campaign. Strange that everything was “Ms. Jarrett wants this, and Ms. Jarrett is looking forward to that”. You hardly heard Obama’s name mentioned by her which I guess reinforces what people are saying. Valerie Jarrett really is the power in the White House. I know that when her representative showed up it was like royalty was visiting. All the big dogs were lined up to meet her and acting real friendly and they gave us a heads up an hour before and told us we better “put on a good show” while she was here.

The part that really stuck out to me was when I overheard the rep say that Jarrett told them, “After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.” She was talking directly to about three of them. Sr. staff. And she wasn’t trying to be quiet about it at all. And they were all listening and shaking their heads and smiling while she said it. Pretty creepy.
