This sounds like something Ann Coulter would say. It's disgusting.

Holy hell folks... it was a joke. Newsbusters are the kings of ripping things out of context to favor the right wing but even in that vid he flat out said... "I'M KIDDING!"

Take off your Mr. Thenthative pants and stop being so outraged over nothing.
 
It was a joke, though Maher at least half means whatever he says.
 
Mahrer, Stewart, Colbert - all of them are comedians. They are NOT journalists. Their shows are not news shows. they make fun of everyone but mostly make fun of people they disagree with ideologically.

Many of their statements are designed to be offensive. Like it or not, offensiveness is a cornerstone of humour.

I don't think you can use mahrer as an example of left wing bias in the media, but you can certainly use right wing reaction as an example of losing ones ability to laugh at oneself and recognize humour or at least a sorry attempt at it.

I don't find it hilarious. I don't really like political comedians, unless they go both ways equally.

And I'm curious as to why you think it is funny? Is it cause there is underlying truth to it? Is it just funny cause its silly making black people look racist/violent? Is it silly cause you wish you could "come after" the people who did not vote for Obama? There is a reason why you think it's funny, and I think that reason is pretty disgusting.

What if someone takes him seriously? Emotions are going to run high if Obama loses. Maher picked some crappy material.

I agree everyone should lighten up. Make a joke about about liberals though and what you usually get "it's not funny because it's not true."

Did you note the laughter? that means it is a joke and he is doing humor. I know it is sometimes confusing but we have these people on TV called comedians. They tell things called jokes which are sometimes satirical statements that are not true. People do this to cause a human condition called laughter. this is where a person spontaneously erupts with pleasant noise due to feelings of overwhelming silliness or happiness.

When the hell did we go back to nursery school here peoples?

I am going to take a glace at your butt for a moment. Yup it is overly sensitive and way to easily hurt. I would recommend never getting near the internet as you may hear something you don't like. I would also recommend staying indoors and perhaps in some sort of protective shelter where people cannot enter. people can be mean, and you seem to be very sensitive to that. I might suggest surrounding yourself with cuddly kittens and puppies and soft musak or adult contemporary music as it is very non-offensive. If you would like a little variety or spice you might want to put some chocolate in your milk, but don't use too much because it might be unpleasant to you.

You are very welcome and i hope your day is not ruined by the mean spirited things that comedian said.

You see people, i can be nice at times.
