What has surprised you most in this election?

Just wondering....

One thing for me is that I am very surprised that this race is so close after the record of the last four years.

Nothing.

It has gone down exactly the way I imagined it would.

You mean the polls that over sample Democrats, and under sample Independents who are massively going for Romney? :2wave:

Oh good so let's see those sources and those polls!

I am surprised how devoid Obama was of a message. The only clear policy initiative he stated was more math teachers but he promised that in 2008 and never delivered. For a sitting President not to be able to articulate more concrete policies/plans is pretty pathetic IMO.

That lies seem to be the republicans method of campaigning.

Well between your signature and avatar, I can see you're a strong, fair bi-partisan.
ROTFLOL... Nope... am honest about who I am. An unabashed Conservative; actually more a Milton Friedman libertarian, but there's a couple things I struggle with on the Libertarian front; namely legalizing drugs.

I am fair... I used to be a Commi-Lib, you name the issue and I was a Daily Kos, Obama, MSNBC styled nutjob... except I wasn't hostile to the military and wasn't an Enviromaniac (it was before they really got going... thankfully) so I am the product of an open mind. How else do you make such a change if you don't have an open mind and are willing to admit you were wrong... an boy was I... Et vous?

The thing that shocks me most is that Obama has yet to lay out any type of Plan or Vision for the Next four years outside of the Buffet Rule?

The suprising thing is that Conservatives are betting on Romney (a liberal) like he is the next messiah and will magically fix everything just by being president.

Too many drugs will do that zippy.

Well... no... there is only one Messsiah now... Obama... he has left the building and stage for the Real Thing. His Kool-Aid cup runneth nix mehr.

I think most R's believe Romney will do what needs be done; it'll be a tough row to hoe, the left will squeal like pigs (that should be their party animal... they smell (OWS), they're bloated, they squeal and they make an absolute mess of things which others have to clean up... but you watch... when Romney wins on Tuesday... business will have confidence on Wednesday morning that they can look towards a less hostile environment... and employment will begin to go down because of one word... Confidence.

The Obamabots will claim it was the product of Obama's magic... not Romney.

It's time to vote the dirty pigs out. On Nov. 6... Vote Republican. Our nation depends on it.

I like dogs and horses and cats not so much, but I really like pigs. Pigs are smart, easy to train, in reality pretty clean. They just spend quite a bit of time in the mud cause of their skin. Pigs get a bad rap.

For me it has been team Obama's use of either incompetence or institutional incompetence as an excuse regarding the Benghazi incident. That is the first time I can recall seeing such a thing floated during an election by a candidate seeking reelection. Nothing else has much surprised me though.

Which Romney will that be? The one from 2000, 2004, 2008, or 2012? I guess with all those Romney's you can pretty much pick and choose what you like, afterall Romney has :lamo

The GOP as an organization are a bunch of idiots and the sheeple that have gathered behind Romney and Obama are the same. BOTH will hurt America, but as long as THEIR side does the harming, it's ok.

But hey, believe in your lord and God Romney thinking "HE will be different" than all the other GOP that has made the debt increase. :lamo

It's not that they like Romney. Romney is a compromise. Most people that vote for Romney are just wanting the bleeding to stop. Who cares at this point whether the wound heals. Lets just get the bleeding stopped. That's all we can hope for with Romney in my view. If he does nothing good- if all he does is NOT do anything bad- then we will be much better off than we are now. If Romney can just get this free fall into the abyss of indebtedness and government dependence to stop, maybe we can elect someone in 2016 who can move the country toward positive progress.
