The soft bigotry of lowered expectations. I just heard Rush mention the phrase and it is absolutely right on the spot.

Obama's supporters are so devoted to his candidacy, in spite of the corruption and the incompetence and the failures of his administration because the media and many of the White voters and campaign members still believe they can and should right the wrongs of slavery.

But, by refusing to hold him accountable for his lack of performance, such as in this Benghazi affair, they are displaying a form of bigotry. They don't think he's capable of winning this re-election bid without their undue (in the case of the media) assistance. So, they help him and reveal a soft form of bigotry, that of lowered expectations.

There's only one Rush!

Edit: Well, looky, looky here! American Thinker has an article on the subject!

And what is so different about Romney supporters? they ignore everything thing this guy does and then engage in transference so that they can deny he is doing it.

Fortunately that makes RUsh an endangered species.

Rush ripped off that phrase. It's been a GOP phrase for some time. That you just now heard it doesn't make it new.

Bush speechwriter who also coined the phrase "Axis of Evil" and "the armies of compassion".

I somehow fail to understand how people can appreciate Rush Limbaugh or that other guy... Mark Levin. I mean, ok, I can get why some people can support Limbaugh on SOME issues, but Mark Levin? Why in Gods name would you ever waste your time to listen to that rabid moron.

Limbaugh has that redneck semi-intellectual appeal to him from what I've heard from him. I only listened to a few of his shows and never managed to convince myself to listen to all of them.

:lol::lol::lol:

as to the OP

Oh my lord, the projection, well, you could run a movie house with it

I have said this many times before. Limbaugh is nothing more than a shock jock.. It's his schtick on talk radio.

This would be more powerful if Republicans had held its leaders reliable as well. But as they don't, this is nothing more than partisan rabble.

If you seriously listen, chances are you will become a believer.

Rush is a logical man.

Rush converts liberals every day. That's why they fear him.

He has also said himself that he doesn't care what he says, hes just going to say it.

Rush's version of a liberal is a person who believes Mother Teresa was an anti semite.

Or the NAZI's were severly misunderstood.

You do understand what a shock jock is don't you? He does not believe most of what he says. I find him funny and not to be taken seriously.

There is nothing the liberals hate more than talk radio, Fox News and the internet's freedom of expression for all. Remember when all we had were the three major ultra liberal networks?

Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw have been replaced by Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Mark Levin and hundreds of others on local stations and blogs around the country.

Nobody pays any attention to Rachel, Anderson Cooper, Sgt. Schultz or any of the other freaks anymore. Worst of all are their insane, parasitical guests that are displayed in order to represent the shrieking "diversity" found in that big liberal circus tent.

Academia and Universities remain the fourth branch of fruitcake liberal government, but what is their reputation now? Who can afford their nonsense, their radical Sixties loons, their strange study programs that only lead to rage and hate and no jobs for anyone?

I reserve belief for religion.
Rush is logical at times (very few times), but for the most part, he is just loud.

I can't believe I'm the first person to mention this obvious playing of the "race card" that conservatives treat as "liberal thing." Limbaugh may believe this or he may just be trying to troll the world, but the problem is his listeners - like you - who honestly believe this stuff. It's hilarious how the only way so many conservatives can see Barack Obama is as a black man. That's all you see - a black man. And you assume that everyone else looks at him the same way and MUST have voted for him for racial reasons alone. Sorry, not everybody thinks that way. Maybe that's why the right has such a difficult time attracting black Americans.

The "soft bigotry" meme was cooked up by the GOP as part of its "reverso" campaign. Since the GOP has a history of racism, it had the rightwing noise machine pretend that progressives were bigots for supporting policies that ended discrimination. That's how conservatives work -- having no coherent argument and completely intellectually bankrupt, they have to spread absurd memes to cover up their own odious policies.

Now, Limbaugh couldn't even get that meme right, since using "soft bigotry" to describe support for Obama makes no sense even on its face, unless Limbaugh is tapping into the racist "affirmative action" president meme. Which the Oxycontin addict probably is.

And his listeners eat this dreck up.

So, I guess all you Obamabots believe he would win re-election WITHOUT the active and aggressive assistance from the liberal media. Right?
