The President Has Lost His Mind

I would like to ask two questions of all involved in this conversation. I would like thoughtful, polite responses. In return I will give the same, regardless of your viewpoint.

1) Would business as a whole thrive in an anarchic system?

2) Would society be better off as a whole in an anarchic system?

I honestly don't know of many people who advocate anarchy. Myself included.

Name the business that succeeds without government. Name just one.

You're just gonna say the bridges and roads govt built, etc, etc. That's a given. Everyone pays taxes. Govt doesn't pay anything. Govt is a tool of the people, not a nanny. There are many differences between a tool and a nanny.

why should the president be expected to listen to the special interests of a lobbying organization?

Wikipedia: "the Chamber claims a direct membership of 300,000 businesses, and 3 million through its various affiliates such as state and local chambers."

I wouldn't expect this president to listen to a group composed of voluntary members that choose to pay dues. Obama's support comes mostly from labor unions that coerce their membership, extort dues, and then use the extorted funds to support the leadership's candidate of choice regardless of how the rank and file feel. The unions have become nothing more than "lobbying organizations", he is certainly listening to their "special interests."

it's a business lobby
still waiting for you to tell us why the president should be obligated to listen to a lobbyist organization

Well, US Chamber of Commerce sounds kind of official It meets in a room big enough to be a chamber and it apparently controls commerce. Isn't that reason enough?

Anarchy for rich people, is the GOP agenda.

This is why the richest are forced to pay income tax in the highest bracket and the richest 10% are currently responsible for around 80% of the income tax burden. And all this even though we've had GOP controlled Congress' and a GOP controlled White House at several points throughout the past 30 years. Your assertion does not quite add up.
