Canadians Still Love Obama [W:194]

Actually it is our business, what happens to America affects us aswell. If you don't care just don't read the thread.

I hate to see that Canadian oil going to China.

Well Americans are making their own oil now so it's going to China. Even then 90% of it will still probably go to the U.S..

In this poll it shows that Obama is by far the best candidate to Canadians. Two thirds would pick Obama and only 9% would pick Romney, the rest were indifferent. Even in the most Conservative province, Canada's Texas still supports Obama by 60% and Romney by only 15%. Surprisingly the elderly were more likely to vote for Obama while young people were indifferent. This also shows Obama's support here has not changed since 2008. You can read the article here.

Ignorance is bliss.

Here's the thang... Canadians would vote for Harper over Obama (NDP; Commi-Lib Party) in a national election.

Canadians have been voting for Harper, a Romney styled Conservative for quite some time; even won when the leftists forced an election a couple years ago.

Harper's been slowly undoing Trudeau's mess; and Obama is the south of the border Trudeau; an American mess. The difference is Trudeau was lucky to have run during the dopey socialist surge of the 70's. Obama has a different reality; a half century of socialist misery piled up like a 100-car crash in the fog. Now the fog has lifted... thankfully.

Last I remember California alone has more people than all of Canada. Further if not for exporting your natural resources you would die on the vine. You don't make crap up there. You export natural gas, coal, oil, timber, and fish, your lucky to have such rich natural resources, for so few people. That's right lots of natural resources and just a few people. Good for you.

FYI I'm not Canadian.

And now you are just making up excuses. The US is rich in natural resources as well.

One thing the BBC poll might show is that Obama's foreign policy has not been a failure.

To be fair though I doubt many outside of the U.S and possibly Canada know very much about Romney.
I suspect anytime that polling is done the results have more to do with whether the incumbent President and his international policies are viewed favorably than it has to do with whoever is running from the other party

Really Harper is nothing like Romney. Second the NDP are social democrats not communists. The Conservatives have really done nothing to benefit Canadian society. He has had to repeal his legislation to the old one passed by Liberals because it failed or was about to fail. They didn't benefit society they haven't one anything that can be equated to national healthcare or the charter. The reason they win is that the Liberal leadership has been a joke. Harper's popularity is plummeting, he will probably lose the next election to the NDP.

Well he doesn't really have a policy on Canada. it also has to do with the fact Romney is a joke.

It is only your business in the sense that you can be interested, as our countries effect each other, but it is not your business who we elect, any more than it is our business who you elect.

The CIA thought it was your business when we elected Trudeau.

He's far closer to Romney than Obama or any Lib. I'd have taken him over McCain in a NY minute.

Second the NDP are social democrats not communists.
They're Democratic Communists. I love what they did in BC with the Fast Cats...

You mean waiting list kare. It's a failed system, and the Quebec Supreme court surely noted that.
The examples of failure are numerous. It's an OK system if you have a cold...

The reason they win is that the Liberal leadership has been a joke. Harper's popularity is plummeting, he will probably lose the next election to the NDP.
They are a joke, their leadership reflects it. The NDP would be a disaster on an Obama scale. The Kanucks would learn... the hard way.

I'm sorry I must have mistaken you for someone who listens to arguments and reason.

There's no reason why I, or any other American, ought to care what outsiders think of how we should run our country. It's none of their damn business.

If you don't think it affects all of us, you are on crack.

LOL, you are clueless, Zimmer. Harper got in by default, really. He's got to be our most hated PM since Mulroney.

This is like a 5-year-old telling his parents he'd rather eat chocolate than his vegetables.

That is still no reason for us to consider any other country when we vote.

I agree. But, as sure as ****, we care. And it makes a difference to us... Canada is a speck to your superpower.

I wouldn't. Even after voting NDP in the last 2 elections.

Why look at your other choices? I have no problem with Mulcair even though I supported Topp in the leadership bid.

Also in the news, the sun will rise in the somewhere from east to tomorrow. Odds are, set somewhere in the west.

I'm sorry I must have mistaken you for someone who listens to arguments and reason.

I've lived in Canada, have followed their politics and return regularly.

You have your view, I have mine. The NDP are Democratic Communists. Trudeau was an arrogant Commi-loving idiot who did great damage.

Should Canada elect the NDP, they would be making an Obama sized mistake.

You provided nary an argument, and your reasoning is flawed.

I agree. But, as sure as ****, we care. And it makes a difference to us... Canada is a speck to your superpower.

Stick around long enough, and that superpower status will be gone. We are getting in over our heads with debt, and we can't sustain our folly indefinitely.
