Children ‘of the future’ blame ‘Mom and Dad’ for electing Mitt Romney, sing about Romney letting sick people ‘just die’ | The Daily Caller

A new video from the founders of a celebrated advertising agency features children “of the future” singing about the aftermath of a Mitt Romney presidency: A world where sick people are required to “just die,” the atmosphere is “frying,” gays can be “fixed” and “oil fills the sea.”
The children, who stare blankly at the camera throughout the video, even take pains to explicitly mention that they blame “mom and dad” for all those horrors.

Here's Obama latest, nice huh?

This....is incredibly tacky. Now they're using children to spread divisive, hyperbolic, hateful rhetoric? I don't care which side put it out, or who the creators support, anybody who uses children as a means of manipulating the voting bloc is disgusting to me. I sincerely hope that this kind of ad is condemned by both campaigns. It's tasteless.

I wish people would keep kids out of politics, even up through teens. There are good reasons why they're too young to vote.

While I find this in very poor taste, how is this Obama's fault again?

They're pushing his message. This is how these people think. They said the same kind of stuff during the Clinton campaigns, Republicans want children lose the lunchs, and seniors to have to eat dog food. Hyperbole all the way.

Again, you'll have to show where Obama's involvment of this is. Do you have a quote from Obama telling these people to do or endorsing them to use children like this?

This is just another baseless "Blame Obama" thread when Obama has nothing to do with this video.

Personally I see little wrong with this.

the superpac nonsense has almost ruined this election year. it's normally like the world cup for me. i can only imagine what it's like for those in swing states. for me, it's crossroads superpac tea party crap 24/7. i'm the most nonviolent person you'll ever meet, but after watching 50 tea party commercials while i'm trying to eat my dinner and catch up on the news, i admit to fantasizing about giving Karl Rove a swift kick in the ass.

LMAO this is like the third time this was posted here, it has nothing to do with obama LOL

why do people try to say it does

Playing disingenuous is a last refuge of being called out about your sick mindset.

It does have something to do with Barack Obama, given he is running for reelection against Mitt Romney.

Obama is tied to this video by being Obama. Did you hear Obama denounce this video. NO. This video supports Obama's message. Further it's the same gutter campaign adds Obama has used repeatably. It represents who he is.

Please, we use them all the time for political ads to spread divisive, hyperbolic rhetoric. People have awfully short and selective memories.

Obama HIMSELF has NOTHING to do with this ad, which is the WHOLE point. Do you have proof otherwise that Obama endorses the video?

The only desperation I see is some on the right trying to blame Obama for the video.

the FACT remains that Obama did not make or endorse the video. Sorry you don't like facts.

Interesting you have not seen one of Obama's or his superpac adds trash adds. I guess those don't bother you.

Almost all the superpac ads are trash from BOTH sides, it doesn't mean either Romney or Obama endorses them.

There is another organization that exploits children for their own selfish needs, it's called religion and the right endorses indoctrinating children.

Lol how partisan can you be, not only is this the same part of crap that the republicans do as well (appealing to FUD, which is really what this is), but if he were to publicly attack this advert, the conservatives would all attack him for not even being on the same page as his supporters. Both the republicans and democrats are crappy groups that will gladly let thier superPACs do the heavy lifting.

Fwiw, I have actually spent money on Pandora, just so I can avoid the nonstop political ads on my radio, since the only thing I listen to outside of Pandora is NPR and Cspan, I have escaped the ads (I don't have a tv).

I'm sorry if my post indicated this was the first or only time we should be outraged at the use of children for political gain. That wasn't my intention. My use of the word "now" was only indicative of it's use in this election cycle, but I never meant to imply it's never happened before.

That said, I hardly think "it happens all the time" is a good excuse. It's shameful whenever it happens, however often it happens, and for whatever reason it happens. When the children themselves are provided a script and a message and asked to perform for the camera it's the ultimate form of manipulation....not only of the children themselves, but also of the voting population.

Trashing Romney is all about Obama.

As for the gutter campaigns only come from Obama. Well when you show a video and tell the people Romney injected his wife with cancer, and he killed her. I suspect you liked that add.

The OP is about one add. Now if you want to bring up a Romney add and start a new thread be my quest.

I'm talking about a sick mindset that this video uses to startle people I to voting against Mitt Romney. The apologists are playing disingenuous.
