Like I told you: he's going to run to Obama's Left and try to make himself out to be the more socialistic candidate when he's down. And of course our principled, stand-pat conservatives will eat this **** up, just like they did with Nixon.

That ****tard is an absolutely shameless liar. It's positively Orwellian.

His base won't mind at all. They'll all come out as being in favor of more bailouts if it means Romney wins. That's the history of Republican betrayal of small-government principles, from Nixon down.

Let's be 100% clear here: running a blatantly untrue ad on your weakest issue a week before election day is not something a campaign that thinks it's on course to victory does.

The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them... To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just as long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies – all this is indispensably necessary.

Doesn't matter, nothing to see here, move along.

What is Obama's plan to help the auto industry going forward?

I don't know. You should ask Romney, since he's adopting Obama's plan wholesale. (Not that that matters to you, of course. What matters is that it's not Obama doing the administering.)

As for myself, I've never needed a better reason to vote for Governor Johnson.

His plan is to let them do their thing now that GM and Chrysler have been restructured. Romney's claim that he will now save the auto industry, after it's already been saved by Obama, is a pathetic attempt to close the barn door after the horse has bolted.

I had planned to as well until I read about them jerking Mr. Woods around about his son's death in Benghazi. That got my dander up. If the media holds their feet to the fire, I still will vote for Johnson. If they do not, I will vote a straight GOP ticket which I have never done before as the anti-Obama vote.

I'm skeptical of the idea you ever intended to vote for Johnson.

Feel free. I've never kept it a secret where I stand. Obama and Romney both suck. I was leaning Romney as a protest for the ACA mandates that I think are a hideous legal precedent that are un-Constitutional, and then Romney had to go after PBS which is the one program that I defend like a dog defends it bone which threw me back to undecided. I am not voting for quack Goode so I was going libertarian since I am a fiscal conservative somewhat progressive on rights and the environment, and then came along this Benghazi thing which I had been giving Obama the benefit of the doubt on until I started seeing all those quotes from Wood's father. The more I looked at that thing, the more outraged I became, so now I am back to voting a straight GOP ticket if that is what it takes to try to get the truth out there for the families of the fallen who are clearly being jerked around by the WH and dismissed by certain members here as irrelevant. Human decency trumps politics seven days a week and twice on Sunday IMO. If the MSM doesn't hold the WH's feet to the fire, there isn't much more I can do other than vote a straight GOP to try to do my 1/140M to try to get Mr. Woods the answers he seeks. I don't see how anyone who has ever known a parent to lose a child could not empathize with their plight.

Voting for Romney because you want the truth might be the greatest punch line of the year.

This is pretty facetious coming from a man's who's proposal would have ended GM and Chrysler (and likely Ford as well due to suppliers shutdowns).

It amazes me that someone who worked in finances had the gall to push a proposal which would have put GM and Chrysler on the auction block. What bothers me more is that there are legions of Romney-Sheep who think that a chapter 11 can be financed without external sources of money by firms weeks from shutting down. Post bankruptcy financing assurances do not mean squat to a company that cannot finance its own operations much less debt servicing.

While it is clear from Romney's piece he did not want to liquidate the firms, without bankruptcy financing, they wouldn't have made it. Romney's plan requires a magical $40 billion to fall from the sky.
