World Net Daily predicts upheaval if Obama wins

there are some very strange people on the right side of the political spectrum

First, consider that right now roughly half of us retain our traditional American (aka Judeo-Christian) values and sensibilities. The other half have been seduced by the Great Lie of the age – the Marxist dream of socialist redistribution (or as we like to say today, “social justice”).

Nevertheless, should Obama be re-elected, some things are almost certain to happen, in my view, including:

Civil disobedience: “I believe in the rule of law, and it has been my practice since I was in college to respect and honor those in authority over us,” evangelical leader Dr. James Dobson wrote in WND recently.

“However, this assault on the sanctity of human life takes me where I cannot go,” said a resolute Dobson, responding to Obamacare’s controversial abortion insurance surcharge by defiantly chaining himself to the moral high ground. “I WILL NOT pay the surcharge for abortion services. The amount of the surcharge is irrelevant. To pay one cent for the killing of babies is egregious to me, and I will do all I can to correct a government that lies to me about its intentions and then tries to coerce my acquiescence with extortion. It would be a violation of my most deeply held convictions to disobey what I consider to be the principles in Scripture. The Creator will not hold us guiltless if we turn a deaf ear to the cries of His innocent babies. So come and get me if you must, Mr. President. I will not bow before your wicked regulation.”

They're so extreme I quit even going there years ago, and automatically ignore anything labeled "WND".

A couple comments for you, dude:

1. You've been a member of this forum long enough to know that you need to provide a link to your quote.

2. Since there is no link, I don't know for sure...but it appears that this is some sort of opinion piece. If that's correct, then I would ask you how one person's opinion equates "so many righties were paranoid freaks incapable of accepting change"?
 
I predict a nationwide depression of about 50% of the population on 7 November. I can only imagine the DP postings that day! Break out the Xanax!

However, we will survive to bitch and moan another day.

There seems to be a lot of things you are ignorant of but are willing to spout off about here.

For example, did you know that hundreds, maybe thousands of Black young people have tweeted their intention to riot in the streets if Obama loses? And some have even come right out and advcated and some have said they will attempt to assassinate a Pres. Romney.

And you think that Conservatives are the boogey men?

Did you know that the highest rate of domestic terrorism comes from right wing extremists? Better check the telegraph pole in your own eye before pointing out splinters in others
 
there will be riots in our large cities on november 7th no matter who wins. if Romney wins they will riot, if obama wins they will riot. Why do white liberals encourage ghetto blacks to riot and burn their own neighborhoods?

It is an idiotic notion to try to use that tired ploy in a case like this. Just ask your city's police chief if he'll be thinking more about possible right wing extremism or Black insurrection on Nov. 6 & 7th.

Interesting, I am also working towards my doctorate as well. Dr. Dobson has a "real" doctorate too, he put in the years and work as a grad student and earned it regardless of what you personally think about the university. Are some doctorates easier than others? Of course, but it's incredibly arrogant and downright disrespectful to blow off someone else's academic achievements like that simply because you don't like a "creationist" university.
 
youre right. I retract. Had it been a creationist clown college, as his previous education was, I would not retract, however.

Uh-huh. And in all these years post-baccalaureate, you still haven't learned to check for facts before making a claim. <snicker> Good luck on your prelims (if you actually know what these are, I mean, and if you don't, you can Google...just as you could've checked Wiki for Dobson's bio).

Oh, and USC isn't a "creationist" university anyway; the slam was intended for the Nazarene university where Dobson studied as an undergrad.

The only threatening A-hole I remember was Ted Nugent and I can't wait for his "demise". As if a wimp like him would do anything but talk.
