An endorsement that actually matters... The Des Moines Register endorses Romney!

and from this typical childish generic instantaneous combative response without any real substance from the liberal side of things, you can see why people are so turned off from politics these days...

YOU are the trip!

You are ready, will able and even EAGER to point out how not every Muslim is a terrorist, but when it comes to a Christian you immediately resort to a false and malicious stereotype.

If you can imagine innocent Muslims why can't you wrap your brain around the idea that Mitt Romney might just be a genuinely sincere and devoted Christian who is a good and decent man?

Well I don't need to "imagine" that until a few months ago, many evangelicals considered the Mormons to be a cult and not really Xian.

Just this month, one group deleted their page which equated Mormonism with other 'cults' as not being really Christian
Shortly after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney enjoyed cookies and soft drinks with the Rev. Billy Graham and his son Franklin Graham on Thursday at the elder Graham's mountaintop retreat, a reference to Mormonism as a cult was scrubbed from the website of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

In a section of the website called Billy Graham's My Answer there had been the question "What is a cult?"

Answer: "A cult is any group which teaches doctrines or beliefs that deviate from the biblical message of the Christian faith."

"Some of these groups are Jehovah's Witnesess, Mormons
, the Unification Church, Unitarians, Spritualists, Scientologists, and others," the site continued.

No longer.

Looks like nothing is more important to some folks, not even their previously stated religious beliefs, as voting against the black guy in the white hous.

This year we have to choose between the Mormon and the Muslim.

Bull ****! There is no Muslim running for President in this country. Anyone who believes such nonsense should not be considered qualified to vote for any presidential candidate

That would almost completely dissolve the Republican party.

So you agree we should have poll testing to determine if people are smart enough to vote before we give them a ballot?

Only if the testing was established and controlled by a non-US group, one that has no interest in either side of the American political debate. I would also add a a qualification to the "smart enough" bit - they would also need to be educated.

But since none of that is going to happen any time soon - I just might see your viewpoint at present, as advocating for a return to practices that were used to discriminate against certain segments of the population.
