Obama is going to win.

The debt is going to $20T regardless of who is elected.

Ok, so we don't give welfare to the states, cut wasteful spending on NPR and PBS, cut wasteful education programs to help us out?

really-so then why vote for proven incompetence?

It doesn't matter who is there, our government infrastructure can't be turned on a dime (thank GW Bush for the taxcuts, wars and unfunded Medicare Part D).

Ryan's budget runs deficits to 2040, for example.

PBS and NPR? You must be joking. If you think you change a $3.7T budget by starting with under $1B items you are clueless. You will not reverse the trend until you are willing to do ALL of raise taxes, cut defense (the single largest discretionary budget item) and reform Medicare, Medicaid and to a lesser extent, Soc Sec. If you aren't willing to do some in each of those three areas, you are not serious about the debt.

Sorry, but you don't get to write off Sweden because it's slightly less socialistic than it used to be. It's still far more socialistic than the US and the Swedes like it that way. It's working for them very well. You could say the same thing for Germany and other north european countries.

What you and others on the right want to do is attack the strawman that anyone in the US wants to install a hard-core communist government. There may be a handful of people who feel that way, but it's not remotely what Democrats or liberals and general would promote. Democrats and liberals generally promote moving ever so slightly closer to the Swedish/German model, which is obviously very effective.

Now give us an example of a country that has succeeded on the Republican model: very low taxes, weak safety net, little regulation of business or markets, decentralized control. :popcorn2:

Sweden has INTENSELY harsh policies against illegal immigrants. The USA modeling itself after Sweden, Norway etc is INVALID because of exactly opposite policies towards cheap-labor immigrants. Sweden and Norway DOES NOT ALLOW illegal immigrants to be in or work in their countries. Pro-actively and HARSELY. The USA does.

Actually, I am not... just pointing out that he won't solve the debt issue in the short-run either... I personally think Obama has a better shot at it as he isn't proposing tax cuts (except on Corp), so he isn't trying to move forward by starting off taking three steps back.

It is not a joke at all. PRS and NPR are an example of endless government welfare for the super rich, and that has to stop.

And we will.

The economy has been improving for three years. Thus, sensible people would reelect Obama in order to see the economy continue to improve.

Let's say, for example, you get so excited when you go to kiss your g/f that you pass out before you get all the way to her lips. And this goes on for three + years. But, every time you try to kiss her you make progress by getting a fraction of an inch closer to her lips. She says she is frustrated at your lack of progress and is going to dump you. But you say, "I've been making steady progress every year! Give me another three + years and maybe you'll get kissed."

"Kissed?!? After all this time I expected to be screwed!" she exclaims.

ESPECIALLY when that example regularly takes a decidedly leftist stance on most every subject they broadcast.

So, let's compare the two. Has Mitt Romney solved a massive governmental, business or non-profit organizational deficit before?

Yes. He's done all three.

Has Barack Obama ever solved any kind of budget deficit?

As I recall his attempted budgets were turned down 99-0 and 414-0. Still, he does appear to have some support among the economically illiterate.

Not wishing to admit they made a dreadful mistake four years ago they are now trying to re-elect Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau as the President of the United States!

This will be one of the more interesting re-posts on Wednesday morning....

If Obama wins, this country is all but finished. It's officially Europeanized, and castrated forever.

But he won't, and it's not.

No one that voted for McCain is voting for Obama. And a TON of people that voted for Obama are voting for Romney. Undecideds will break for the challenger, and the +8 Democrats had in 2008 will become a +4 or better for Republicans, as it was in 2004. (These polls are only close because of the ridiculous pro-Democrat sampling going on. This isn't 2008.)

Do not underestimate the tidal wave of 2010 either.

Democrats are not excited. Republicans are going to show up in DROVES.

Karl Rove and Dick Morris, make room on the bench...

Congratulations. You voted for Santa Claus and the parent that doesn't make you do homework and let's you eat candy all day for president.

I'd be embarassed, ashamed, and disgusted with myself if that's the way I lived my life. Thankfully, I was raised better than that.

The losers now outnumber the winners. But it's nothing that Marco Rubio, Cynthia Martinez, Condi Rice, etc, can't fix later.

Perhaps you should consider that the people who you're getting your opinions from are clueless? All of your pundits were wrong about the election. Massively wrong. And we told you what was going to happen, but you refused to believe it. If I was in your position I would seriously begin to question the credibility of my side's opinion makers.

This country desperately needs a viable two-party system, but we're not going to have one as long as Republicans continue to bury their heads in the sand and drink the right wing media Koolaid.

Wrong, wrong, wrong....pathetically wrong.

Yes, I was wrong in my prediction. I didn't realize that number of people that vote for Santa Claus now outnumber those that have integrity, work ethic, and self-esteem. We'll never win an election again. It's all yours now. Congrats.

There are more single mothers now that married mothers. Think about that. Those are "smart decision makers" that decided this election.

The Republicans only chance now is to sell out to Hispanics because they'll inherit this country within 50 years.

We're a nation of tribes now, not principles. Most of the tribes banded together to gang up on the tribe that had outworked them so they can take their stuff. There's nothing intellectual about it. It's purely that simple.

We're Europeans now. Can't you just feel the sophistication of the winning electorate in the air?

You weren't wrong because you misconstrued the country's sentiment; you were wrong because you denied the evidence that was right there under your nose indicating that there was a high probability of an Obama win. This has become a depressingly common theme with conservatives. You've become unhinged from reality.

Don't like the implications of dealing with climate change? Just deny reality.

Don't like the implications of having to pay down a large debt? Just deny reality.

Religions beliefs threatened by science? Just deny science.

Don't want to deal with pregancy from rape? Just deny that rape can cause pregnancy!

Don't like the Democrats? Just claim that deficits are rising when they are falling. Just claim that unemployment is rising when it's really falling. Just claim that inflation is rampant when it's really quite low. Just claim that the administration is shutting down oil production on federal lands when nothing could be farther from the truth. And on and on and on.

There are lots of legitimate issues that can and should be worked out between liberals and conservatives, but that's not going to happen until consevatives are willing to deal with reality and not fantasy.

You sure sound a lot like Romney.

Hey!!! you should run for the Republican primary in four years. Go a step further, don't be shy say things like:

Women are sex slaves and should have men make their decisions

Legalize rape since women can just "block it out" if they get pregnant oh well it's "God's will"

Hispanics should all be deported, best if they do it them selves

Gay people should all be executed

100% of government spending should be on the military

Poor people should pay all the taxes and the Rich should receive all the welfare

Any non old-white-male is a leech of society

We should kill every one in every country that we don't like, that's leading from the front

If you can't afford college go ask your parents for a loan

De-regulate banks again

If you're sick and poor pray to God

Tell them the next Democratic candidate is a Jew hating Kenyan Muslim socialist. Doesn't even matter who he/she is.

They'll love you!!! You'll probably get the same votes as Romney

It's Ironic that Obama's speeches are more idealistic and optimistic in tone, yet Romney and Republicans are really the one's living in La-La-Land.

Not so much. Santa Claus was promising me tax cuts, increases in defense spending and balanced budgets. Moreover, I caught him on more than one occasion promising something different to my neighbor than he promised me. I could tell that Santa Claus guy was going to make all kinds of promises, but at the end of the day, he would just drink my milk, eat my cookies and leave me a lump of coal because he dropped all the real gifts with his multi-national corporate buddies. I saw right through that Santa Claus.

Instead we get something more like this....
