This is disturbing. Ok I get the fact you still want everyone to believe in Hope and Change, but using children like this is child abuse.

Here are the lyrics:

Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea

We don’t have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

We haven’t killed all the polar bears
But it’s not for lack of trying
Big Bird is sacked
The Earth is cracked
And the atmosphere is frying

Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can’t cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it’s welfare dough

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair

It’s a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term’s kind of a drag

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we’re blaming you

You did your best
You failed the test

Mom and Dad
We’re blaming you!

Man, that's nothing compared to religion. Now that's child abuse

People shouldn't listen to children.

Children are stupid. They don't know anything. Because they're children. They know what they've been fed by their parents, and nothing more. They haven't developed the critical thinking skills to assess the information they're given, and the information they've been given is limited in the first place.

Don't. Listen. To. Children.

"Give me your children for one generation and I will change the world."
-- Joseph Stalin

"Give me the youth, and Germany will rule the World" - Adolf Hitler

The mind of a child can be imprinted like a gosling and acquire the learned behaviors and attitudes of authority.

A History of Textbook Propaganda

Oh crap. Hitler and Stalin agree with me. Thanks a lot, Maggie.

More Democratic bigotry against Christians. I am surprised there isn't more organized Christianity opposite to the Democratic Party than there is. When a political party and its minions incessantly declare hatred of you and your beliefs, its only rational to equally oppose that political party. So should anyone who opposes religious bigotry

Notice how he didn't specify Christianity. Sensitive much?

I agree, this is pretty bad. No worse, though, IMO, than Sunday School or trying to get creationism into the school curriculum. Liberals definitely don't hold a monopoly on trying to indoctrinate children.

Yeah, if people are going to try and send a message, they should have the courage to say it themselves instead of hiring a bunch of children to do it for them.

Hahaha, he's one of those persecuted Christians who survived Liberals throwing him into the lion pits. He has every right to be sensitive about 99% of our governing officials being made up of Christians, the majority of business owners in this country being white Christians, SCOTUS being made up exclusively of Christians. I read in a book by Matt Taibi that the kinds of opinions held by Joko and others like him are indicative of people who haven't achieved much in life. Obviously, I don't know Joko from Jack and he could be a very accomplished individual but it's weird how that one passage has stuck with me. Taibbi talks about the feeling of constant persecution experienced by these white Christians.

The overwhelming majority of this country's wealth is owned by rich white protestants. Yet, there is a 'silent majority' (of mostly poor/middle class white Christians) who feel as if they are being persecuted even though 43/44 are white and 44/44 are Christians. You should read the book. It's called 'the great derangement'.

I would add that this same majority will constantly complain about minorities who have been historically wronged and constantly revert to some microracism they experienced in their lives. All the while, ignoring the mountains of evidence showing the ways in which entire races have been economically, socially and culturally neutered.

When I was young, I was indoctrinated into an anarcho-syndicalist cult. The methods used were very subtle, aimed at shaping a mind as impressionable as mine at such a tender age, and insidious in every respect. I won't go into too much detail here, but the imagery presented was obviously aimed at children. It was presented as a cautionary tale involving a rotund ursine and his insatiable desire to monoploze the means of production when it came to his craving hunny.

Yet when it comes to the debt, it's all about what we're doing to the children.

There's a large contingent of Christians in this country whose view of religion in general is very limited. Whenever someone opposes religion, they perceive that it's only opposing Christianity because, in their minds, that's the only religion that's actually present in America. In their minds, all Americans are Christian. Even the Jews, Hindus, Muslims, or anyone else are actually really Christian. And atheists just want to destroy Christianity, the same way that a competing religion would. None of that is true, but a great many American Christians equate religion in general with Christianity. Some will go as far as including Jews, and occasionally Muslims, but everyone else is simply invisible to a lot of these people.

And as to indoctrination... there is absolutely no contest. Religion takes the cake. By a wide margin.

I have to ask, what's the alternative to the situation in the OP? Not telling kids about current events and political issues? I don't see how keeping children ignorant is a good choice. Some kind of extremely watered down version of events that does not lean towards any answers or conclusions from the facts? No, that's just more ignorance. I'm pretty sure "indoctrination" in this context just means "telling kids things you don't agree with".

So Christianity is the only religion IYO?
