I see, so we assume that there is a cover up before the investigation is complete and in order to avoid it we are to make complete jackasses out of ourselves asking for classified information about an ONGOING TERROR INVESTIGATION. Makes perfect sense.

That's what Obama said but there is no evidence of that. There was no demonstration, there was no security, security was turned down repeatedly. After the attack started cries for help were denied not even one F-16 came. Obama left them for dead.

A cover up, of course, what the hell do you need. Obama said it was a video, not true, no evidence of that. There was no demonstration, there was no security, security was turned down repeatedly. After the attack started cries for help were denied, not even one F-16 came. Obama left them for dead.

You believed the Obama administration and the press secretary saying its was all the result of a video. Did you not. So now let's all wait until after the election, and then we'll figure it out.

Actually, it is a little worse. Obama got into an argument with Romney in the debate that he really did call it a terrorist attack, a debatable argument, but OK, give him the benefit of the doubt. Then a while later, the administration, unless you do not consider Hilary part of the administration, walked it back to blaming it on an old video. Then, when caught with their bloody hands in the cookie jar, walked it back to a terrorist attack. The problem for the campaign was that there was no good answer. Either the Obama policy when dealing with the Muslims is to blame, or the administration is so incompetent that they should be fired. Hence, the reach into the bag of tricks for another blamee, the video.

No, some of WE are making jackasses of ourselves by claiming other Presidents have ordered the military not to attempt a rescue mission of troops under fire when the military was ready to go or spinning that this was a "blackhawk down" situation when it clearly was not. But since I am not standing on that half of the "We" and that person cannot point to a single known fact that does not make this look like a cover-up, then this have of the WE will be ignoring that half of the WE until they can produce something other than choir songs.

You are mistaken. At least one member of the militia suspected of having carried out the attack has said that the attack was motivated by the video. But the point is that you can't have a cover up because the administration has been saying all along that we aren't sure what happened. It's an ongoing investigation and there is a lot of conflicting and incomplete information. Obviously they cannot and should not make everything public.

Adam, I really don't care what the administration is saying, nor do I particularly care what someone suspected in carrying out the attack says. What they mean is that this fkup must be couched in such a manner as to hurt the forthcoming election in the least possible manner. What we do know is that the security at the embassy was provided by an unknown British firm who hired untrained locals and armed them with flashlights and batons. That contract was issued by the state department, or it should have been. The state department is under the control of Hilary, who answers to Barry. What happened is pretty clear. There is no, repeat no, correlation between an obscure video and the attack. What we do know is that the administration knew this immediately. If that is not true, then all the radios, satellite phones, and other means of communication, failed. What we do know is that Barry stood on a platform in front of the nation and argued that he really did call it a terrorist attack, or to put it another way, I was for it before I was against it.

Why in the world do you have to politicize this? This is about the President of the United States watching them die, and being asked for an order to go in three times, but he didn't. Bronson is right, because anybody who supports a president who watches an ambassador die is not an American, because Obama is un-american.

It is not even certain if Obama himself was informed of this event while it was happening, or how much information was relayed to him if he was.

Furthermore, it could only have been in Obama's self-interest to assist the ambassador.

All things that the opposition overlooks.

While this was happening, Obama was somewhere in the Midwest, if I remember, Colorado. That guy standing next to him with the bag over his shoulder, is carrying the phone. To claim that Obama did not know suggests that someone who did receive the message did not forward. Ambassadors dead and terrorists climbing over the walls of the chancery should have been one of those things that would be relayed immediately. Since nobody got fired, I would guess that Obama was making the decisions.

Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Penetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

Ok, lets just say he didn't know....as a president, he should fire Clinton, and all the others who were watching it in the situation room with out informing him. However, protocol is that the president is to make the order. So that is not possible.

Now, lets say there was opposition towards the president with his camp over WHETHER TO SAVE PEOPLE! Sorry, that is not what it was. They were all watching it in the situation room for a STINKIN' 7 hours watching them, and they didn't order them to go in! Obama should have told them to go in, and I don't know why in the world the president wouldn't do that. I hope it doesn't have to do with his reelection, but I'm afraid it does.
